If I’m between sizes order up
This shirt was recommended by a friend. I was surprised at just how lightweight it is. I’m typically between a large or a X-Large with Columbia brand clothing. I ordered the X-Large and I’m glad I did. It fits well. I’m 5’8” and about 170 lbs and large bust. Fits well.

Poor Fit, Looks Like A Low Budget SciFi Costume
This is a decent UV resistant shirt. It works well to reflect sun and feels light and cool to wear. I wish that I could rate it higher, but I am unhappy about the fit and construction. While it's true to size in the neck, shoulders, sleeves, and length, it is quite baggy in the body. I normally size up in these as UV shirts tend to run a little small. In this case, I wish that I had ordered true to size. As well as odd sizing, I don't like the construction of the thumb holes, especially for $60. I prefer ones that have some sort of edging on them to be more comfortable and provide additional support to prevent wear and tear. I am unsure of how long this will hold up. Finally, the material isn't my favorite. I didn't factor this into my rating as it's personal preference. However, the UV reflection part of this shirt seems to be little reflective bits of something that is adhered to the fabric, kind of like a design on a graphic t shirt. It's quite ugly, making it look like a costume on a low budget sci-fi movie set, and I don't expect it to hold up to repeated washings or heavy use. Overall, while this UV shirt functions well, I have longevity concerns about it due to the fabric and construction of the thumb holes. Finally, the fit is odd and unflattering and it's just plain ugly due to the fabric.

Horrible shirt
Sold as new but it looks like it was somebody's return. It was all wrinkled, not in the original packaging, not carefully folded, but disorderly jammed into some tiny plastic bag sealed with scotch. The quality of the garment itself is low. Plastic fabric feels like paper, unpleasant to touch. Country of origin is Vietnam. Awfull and deceiving. Not like a nice shirt on the picture in the product description.

Lightweight and comfortable. Versatile shirt
I really like this shirt I wear it jogging or hiking or for general sporty outdoor activities. It is covered with reflective dots which are supposed to prevent the wearer from getting too warm. As others have noted, it gives the shirt a space age look and as a result, it’s not something I would consider athleisure use (that is, I’m not wearing it out and about for errands.) But for outdoor purposes, whether, running, hiking, fishing, etc., this is a nice shirt. It is long sleeve and very lightweight. It has a paper-y feel to the touch, but doesn’t wear that way. It’s comfortable Not too tight. Not too baggy. If you like tighter clothes, I’d size down. This fits true to size. Sewn into the underside of the shirt is a patch of glasses cleaning fabric which is a nice touch (as someone who wears glasses.) I think this is well made and high quality. I really like this shirt. Definitely unique looking but very effective for its stated purpose (moisture wicking, sun blocking, heat deflecting.)

A little spacey
This wouldn't look out of place on an episode of Star Trek. It does give good sun protection but I feel a little odd doing the gardening wearing it.

Excellent – Keeps Me Cool & Blocks the Sun
Large – Tiki Pink I am 5’3”, 115LBS, 35C. The size Large fits me oversized but not huge (not a surprise that it is big). Medium would be “better” but I wanted this in large to wear over my swimsuit & when kayaking. It is not swimmy-huge partly because it is sewn in a bit at the waist which gives it shape. The back is longer than the front which makes it perfect for leggings, bike shorts or swimsuits. It fully covers my rear. I like that the collar protects my upper chest & part of my neck from the sun. The neckline is super comfortable & flattering. The Deflector Ice is NOT a gimmick - it works. I really like this top & it’s comfortable under a PFD. It feels like you’re wearing nothing at all – so light, lets the breeze thru & sweat evaporate, all while blocking the sun. It feels like you are sitting in the shade – really! The “Tiki Pink” color is pretty – a happy, peachy/pink. The fabric has a reflective, small dotted pattern which is really neat IMO – some will not like it. The inside has light blue snowflakes – they telegraph thru a bit to the outside. I find this shirt unique in a good way. I wear this kayaking & over my swimsuit & do not get sunburned. I really like the hand protection sleeve. That is so useful for kayaking or biking. The tops of your hands will not get sunburned. I have several of these Columbia sun deflector tops from previous years & they are still in excellent condition after wearing many times in the sun. I wouldn’t want to go thru summer without them. They truly keep me cool in the sun on a hot day & I don’t have to lather myself with sunscreen to keep from burning. These tops are kind of a miracle. I like the updated styling. Columbia has made an already excellent top, even better. I turn inside-out to wash & hang dry. I think the drier would ruin this shirt. It dries super fast so not an issue to hang dry.
