Be aware that this mat is semi transparent
I purchased two of these to put under a corner sink, big space. Cut them using the previous two pieces of overlapping liner as a template, which made installation quick and error free. The liners had deep "wrinkles" from being rolled around a flat 6 inch wide cardboard. The mfg. recommends a hair dryer to get these wrinkles out. My hair dryer is low wattage, so it did not help very much. I threw the liners into my dryer, for about 4 minutes on very low, and they emerged flat and ready to be cut. If your under sink cabinet floor is damage free, you will not mind that the sheets which, while bearing a small pattern, are pretty transparent. In my case, they do not conceal the repaired and repainted plywood underneath. I had hoped not to have to see it again, ever. The material is waterproof, and does not shift around when I take out and put back in different cleaning items.

It's a Project but it Works...
I purchased 2 of the Con-Tact Brand Non-Adhesive Under Sink Mats in Graphite for $12.99/each. I was motivated to find such an item after my daughter spilled an ENTIRE bottle of Sally Hansen at-home hair removing wax in the cabinet under her bathroom sink. I'm not exaggerating when I say that I wasted hours of life getting the off! (Plus it ruined several cleaning brushes and rags in the process.) I deducted a Star because this mat was awful to cut and for the hassle it took to get it to work. Regarding the cutting issue... Most Con-Tact brand liners are easy to trim down. Eg: The self-adhesive liner paper has a grid pattern on the back. Even the non-adhesive version is simple as it has lines on bottom that can be followed. This one requires more work... I found that drawing a line isn't very practical as most inks will not appear on the surface (which perhaps is a tribute to the protective properties of the liner...). Even a Sharpie didn't stay very well.. It smeared and therefore turned out to be a waste of time. Assuming that you don't own a cutting machine, the only other option I found (and eventually ending up using), was cutting along the diamond grid pattern. Very difficult. It also doesn't cut very easily with regular scissors. Since this mat comes folded up along the cardboard product insert, it arrives with a series of folds. The instructions suggest to use a blow dryer to "carefully remove the lines." Oh hell no, I wasn't going to take the time to mess with this! I ended up following another reviewers tip to lay it out in the sun. 45 minutes on my hot AZ patio did the trick! Despite the hassle, this is a really cool product! Once it's "prepped," it lays down really well. It's definitely water proof and it's obviously protective, as evidenced by its resistance to Sharpie markers. To improve upon the mat, I would suggest having it come rolled rather than folded and to incorporate a grid pattern on the back surface to make cutting easier.

it doesn’t adhere at all
It does not adhere like previous Contact liner I have purchased. It does stay put because I have things on top of it. It would be easy to clean, although I have not needed to yet.

Dumb packaging ruins an otherwise good product.UPDATE: Solution found - read description.
UPDATE: Start your dryer on medium heat until it is warm. Then, put the mat in the dryer for 2-3 minutes at a time and watch it close. When the whole mat gets warm enough, it will relax and the waves will be gone. Obviously, watch it so it doesn't get too hot and melt in your dryer. I had two of these mats. I left the first one in the dryer a little too long. It's flat and will work fine but is a little wrinkly looking. The second one looks flat and smooth. Total time in the warm dryer - maybe 4 minutes. This mat serves a very specific need - protecting the floor of the cabinet under your sink from water damage, etc that occur when leaks happen. The contact paper you line cupboards with maxes out at 20 inches so I was glad to find this. However, the morons who designed the packaging clearly didn't try to unpackage and cut/fit the product to a cabinet. The mat comes wrapped around a flat piece of cardboard that puts waves in it that are nearly impossible to remove. I tried using a hairdryer without any success... the waves remain even after I pulled the mat tight and got the mat so hot that the hairdryer reset. Someone suggested laying it out in the sun with heavy items at the corner. I don't know how long that would take but it's still cold here so I doubt that will work anyway. As you can imagine, if there are waves in the mat, it makes it near impossible to accurately measure or cut. I hate when people don't think things through. Do not buy.

Great Product For Under Sinks, Lining for Cabinets, or To Protect Marble Vanity Tops
The Cont-Tact Under Sink Mat is a durable and easy to use product. I measured the area, marked the area off with a pen lightly, cut and installed. I was able to easily erase any pen marks on the mat with a pencil eraser. I would recommend the clear so you can see the beauty of the wood / cabinet area you want to protect. Also, the clear mat allows you to put the mat on top of a marble / corrien / Formica top that you want to protect and still see the beauty of the top. For my vanity, I have one small area on the vanity top that I keep my shaving cream, razor, comb, and electric toothbrush I keep out most of the time unless company is coming over. I cut a piece of the mat to protect the vanity top area and it still allows me to see the beauty of the vanity top. Obviously if your wood under the sink is not pleasing to the eye you may want to get the solid. However, if the wood or counter top is in good shape the clear will allow you to see the beauty below the mat and also makes it easy to see if there is any water that may seep below the mat if you ever do have a leak or plumbing issue.

nice product
Nice product and fast shipment ... it does take a while to flatten, but took advice of other reviewers, heat it up slightly, then put under mattress for a few days ... easy to cut
