Get the Premium / Precision model
I originally purchased the slightly less expensive I-stubble version and found that it did not hold the height in memory after a few minutes of being switched off. When switching back on, it lowered the head to 0.4 mm which meant you had to adjust it to your desired height again before using. I reached out to Conair and they said it was faulty so I returned it for a replacement which turned out to have the same issue. On top of that, the height adjustment buttons are small and require you to use your finger nail to depress them. Anyway, by this time the “premium” model was back in stock (extra $10) so I ordered that. This model is much better. It keeps the last height you used in “memory”, the buttons are larger and it has an on/off lock for travelling (but this does reset the height to 0.4mm). However, overall, worth the extra $10.

Big improvement over an old beard trimmer
This is very easy to use. The trimmer head is adjustable and does not require any additional pieces to perform the intended task. The lockable feature makes carrying this trimmer safer.

Used this trimmer happily for 5+ years, BUT then I tried a competitor..
(Apologies for writing a linkbaity title... ) I'm on my second of this beard trimmer and been using it since 2016. Generally have been happy, but today I used the Philips Multigroom MG7750 that my partner bought for giving me haircuts. Now that i've tried it on my beard (and found all its beard (and beyond) attachments), I can't imagine using the conair again. The conair has been fine, and I've managed to find a rhythm of popping open the guard a couple times during a trim, in order to clear the hair.. But then with this other trimmer... well, don't need to do that. It just cuts and cuts and no clearing necessary. (It probably does fling the cut hair around my sink more, but.. I'll take that compromise). The only reason i wouldn't recommend this mg7750 is if you don't want to deal with attachments. But.. even with that extra work (and additional pieces to deal with) I think it's worth it. Anyway, this review reads like an advertisement for this philips one.. and apologies for that. But.. once I saw they cost the same, I feel kinda idiotic for using something so inferior for the past half decade. :)

Poor Packaging
I like the shaver overall. Nothing real special other than it contours to my face which is kinda nice. A couple of things though. 1. I'm not convinced I receive a new shaver instead of a reconditioned one. The packaging was terrible. the charger and cord looked new, but everything else was suspect. I didn't receive any lubricating oil in the box and the little brush was just loose in the box. Even the paper covering the razor was torn. 2. Only a couple of days after receiving it the price has dropped more than ten dollars. After a chat with customer service for a price match I was told I couldn't get one. Overall, the iStubble is probably no better or worse than others out there.

Does the job, very happy with the product!
Picked this up after getting some irritation from constant shaving. It's done a very nice job of maintaining a stubble beard, with a nice range of options to accommodate your preferred beard length.

A great trimmer - but only for as long as it lasts
I've been using this trimmer for 5 full years. Here's a timeline of how my perception of this trimmer has changed: 2014 - This thing works great! It has a lot of power for something that uses a battery, and I get about 3 full trimming sessions before I need a recharge. I love the adjustable head and how I can fine-tune the smaller measurements to get my beard looking perfect. I also love that I can remove the guard to clean up my neck and get more defined beard lines on my face. My only gripe is that it's still hard to trim close to my nostrils. But most razors this size have the same problem, so I'm not too bummed about it. 2015 - This thing still works great, but it's starting to die sooner and sooner. I'm lucky if I can trim my face twice without having to recharge this. I start plugging it into the charger, which is a large wall A/C adapter with a long 5 ft cable, after every use. It's only a minor inconvenience though, so I still really like this thing. 2016 - The battery is now lasting just under a full trimming session, so I decide to look into replacing it. Well, it turns out that the battery is not only proprietary, but also soldered into the device. Without a soldering iron, I have no means of replacing the battery. The good news is that if it dies before I'm done, I can just charge it for another 15 minutes, come back, and finish the job. So I'll keep doing that - again, it's only a minor inconvenience, and I'm willing to deal with it for now. 2017 - Now the battery is completely dead. It will only last about 10 seconds if it isn't plugged in. Again, I can't replace this battery without soldering equipment and somehow procuring a proprietary replacement battery that ConAir doesn't sell. However, the trimmer STILL works if I keep it plugged in the whole time when I'm shaving. The wire for the charger is long enough that I can easily do this with only another minor inconvenience. So, since I'm too cheap and lazy to find a new razor, I guess I'll keep doing that. 2018 - The trimmer has reached the point that it won't stay on for more than a minute even plugged into the charger! Also, if I change guard lengths and turn it back on too quickly, it immediately dies. What were only minor inconveniences before turn into huge pains. I'm starting to miss spots when trimming because I have to stop mid-trim to let it recharge. 2019 - I've maximized the life of this trimmer, and it is barely functional anymore. I think it's time to buy a new one. TL;DR: This is a great trimmer for the price, but it is not, by any means, a "buy it for life" item. Only expect to use it for around 2 years, maybe 3 tops if you're as patient as I am, before having to replace it. If they actually sold replacement batteries for this, I would rate it an instant 5/5. But because of the short lifespan, I have to lower the rating.

Great Product
Had an initial hiccup with the order. Nobody gets it right all of the time. What is important is the ability to resolve issues quickly so thanks very much for resolving efficiently and politley:)

Great trimmer, just adjust length with every use
I sport a goatie that is 4mm long. I know this because this precision trimmer showed me so! A motorized blade length adjuster will give you incremental settings up to 5mm. I've struggled for years trimming with scissors and trimmers and finally I've found the perfect one! The one thing you must always be aware of is that when you turn the trimmer off, it goes back down to the shortest setting! So before you trim, adjust it to your preferred setting every time! ????????????

Not powerful enough
This is a pretty weak trimmer and not designed very well at all. Very hard to get an even shave and the trimmer itself is extremely weak. I used it twice and threw it out... back to using a regular barber shop trimmer
