Great product !!

I was worried this light would be too large but I think the scale looks great with my painting ! My living room furniture is chrome so in the future I might spray paint the gallery light as chrome to match my furniture but I’m not mad at the brass. Once the 4 batteries are in it definitely is heavy so I mounted it to the wall. Another review recommended not to use the wall anchors and screws included so I used my own and it’s very very stable. I wish there was a way to have a timer on it so it would come on automatically at night but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Oh well ! I’m still incredibly happy with it, especially since the outside shell is metal and not a cheap plastic.

Easy to install and easy to use

Installed the light directly on the frame so no issues with it falling out of the wall. This light does exactly what I wanted, gives good lighting to my painting.. My grandson said it is the first time he has really looked at the picture. (have had it over 50 years). The picture and frame are 30 x 40 inches and I think the light is large enough. But then, I like subdued lighting. Love the remote. Have not had it long enough to find out about battery usage. Overall, at this moment, I am happy with the light.

Really good product -take AAA batteries for the remote not the AA specified in the description

Lamp is easy to install looks great and is easy to use - you just need a screwdriver to set the lamp holder to the frame and you are in business. NB the item description says the remote takes AA batteries they in fact take AAA batteries.

Pros: -fairly easy install, however, the wall anchors are JUNK. Do not use them. -they look nice! However, if you’re installing up pretty high, you’ll be sad. The underside isn’t awesome. -remote control is great! Cons: -they require a LOT of batteries. 4 D batteries for the light, 3 AAA for the remote. -again, the wall anchors are crap. -again, the underside is ugly. -they’re heavy with 4 D batteries inside (so make sure you have a SOLID wall anchor or a stud!)

Very happy with this product

When I first received this, my initial reaction was that it was pretty big. After all, the fixture itself holds (4) size 'D' batteries. My wife agreed and it sat in the package for awhile. I was hesitant to destroy the packaging, but then realized that the package pops open and hinges apart so you can withdraw it and hold it up to the picture for size comparison. Once I did that, it didn't look so big when held up to the picture. You can either mount this on the back of the frame or directly upon the wall. I opted to mount on the wall. First, the back of the frame was uneven and I also was hesitant to drill into the back of a fairly nice frame. Once I got it installed, we both love it! The picture is dark and this illuminates it wonderfully. I like the remote too, so you don't have to walk over and feel for the button on the light itself. Very happy with this product!

Looks great over portrait!

It’s heavy when you put the batteries in so make sure that it’s on the wall very sturdy. Otherwise it will fall out of the wall when you replace the batteries. That happened to me the first time. I anchored the screws in and have no issues now. I love it I also love the dimmer. I bought rechargeable batteries for it it takes 4D batteries.
