Temperature Comparison

I recently decided to purchase new travel mugs.After reading several reviews of different travel mugs I decided to purchase two, determine which one I liked best and use it for vacation travels.The other would be used at home during yard-shop work. I purchased the Contigo (16 oz) and the Yeti (20 oz) travel mug.I heated a pan of water to boiling point, waited a few seconds, then poured exactly one cup of very hot water into each mug.Very briefly checked each water temperature with a laboratory grade thermometer to be sure water temperature was the same in both mugs and closed the tops.After three hours rechecked the temperatures. The Contigo was 134 F and the Yeti was 140 F., both "semi-hot" for coffee. I like the top and drink stopper of the Yeti better than the Contigo, my bias.Both leak a little if placed on their side.The Contigo fits my car (Chevy Traverse) cup holder better than the Yeti.Happy with both.

Best mug for the money

The best mug you can buy! Keeps my coffee hot well into the late morning/afternoon. Does not leak and best of all it doesn't have a rubber gasket for soap to get caught under. I have always preferred Contigo mugs and I was using a mug that had been given to me simply because I take it to work with and was worried I would lose or forget it somewhere. The lock slide on the lid broke so I decided to go ahead with the Contigo considering it was not expensive. I have used it all week and it has not leaked once nor has my coffee gotten cold. Very highly recommended.

Nice design!

I’m a fan of this brand. Not sure how many I have had in the past but I’m never disappointed. They have the best color selection. Conservative and classic. The curved design on this allows it to slide into the compartment in my book bag and car cup holder. The lid is very snug so NO LEAKS! It’s just the right girth for my hands to comfortably hold it. Finally, it keeps my coffee hot for a couple of hours. I’m a school teacher who doesn’t always get to finish her coffee before class. It’s usually still warm at 11:30 when I take lunch. That’s a big deal!

Contigos are trustworthy and this is no exception, but I love the smaller size and great pattern. You can spot it across the room and are less likely to leave it at the gym or conference table.

Hot coffee for hours

This is the best coffee/tea hot beverage container I have ever purchased and believe me, I’ve tried several! It’s a beautiful cup, thermal, locking lid, no spilling, and the contents stay fresh and hot for well over 3 hours! I highly recommend Contigo! I was so impressed, I bought a second cup for my sister. WTG Contigo????

Excellent product. Beautiful flower design

I love mug. I was looking for a mug of good quality and with flower print on it. Now I have it! My tea stays hot during all my work shift. I gave 4 stars for a lock feature because sometimes it is hard to open the hole on the top of the cover for drinking.
