Someone at Cosabella has turned the best underwear I have ever worn into the worst!
I have worn Cosabella’s Soire panties for years. They were so, so comfortable, and they were flattering! Nothing else was as good—to the point that when I wanted new underwear I’d order several dozen pair. Over the years there is no doubt I have bought and worn hundreds of pairs of Cosabella Soire underwear. They wore like iron (and probably still do, tho alas now they FEEL like iron). They were perfect. But at the end of last year someone at Cosabella (probably several someones) decided to change the elastic (at both the hips and the legs) from a thin, gentle piece of stretchiness encased in stretchy velvet that you hardly knew was there to this thick (twice as wide!) steely piece of unencased elastic that doesn’t have the give (never mind the softness!) of a rubber band. I have tried to get used to this new elastic. The underwear still has the same perfect cut and stretchy, gentle fabric, and the new colors are charming. Since the change, I have bought more than two dozen pair of these new ones: washed them, stretched them, hoped they’d develop some give. They haven’t. Someone at this company—who doesn’t wear these underpants—ruined them! This new version leaves marks on me at the end of my day! And I am skinny. God help any women with an extra five pounds—these underwear are going to hurt! Who in their right mind puts firm elastic on women’s underwear? Someone at Cosabella took the best women’s underwear I have ever worn and turned them into an absolute horror show. I add a photo: The bottom coral pair of underwear have the new elastic; the white pair are the older, more comfortable pair of underwear. The new pair looks pretty but (especially by the end of the day) hurts and leaves a mark. I tried ordering up a size. No difference. I will keep track for a while to see if the company fixes it’s terrible elastic. But I am looking elsewhere for comfortable underwear.
