The Qwik Lock Filter Fastening System makes removing and installing wet dry vacuum filters quick, easy and secure. *Gallons indicated reflect drum volume, not necessarily collection capacity, actual capacity dependent upon type of debris collected, condition of filter and other factors. This Vacuum Sucks!!!!!
It really does a great job at suction. I was impressed when I received this item. The power behind it and the fact that it doubles as a blower was great!!! There is only one thing I would change on this and that is the handle. I wish that the handle was on top of the machine rather than the side. Maybe they can design a handle on top that will move with you? Other than that, top notch!!

Almost perfect
Likes: * Suction power. OMG, this thing will take your shoes off and away while you are standing on them. * Take the top off (not you Bob) and use it as a blower, great feature that i have actually used several times cleaning out my shop. * Maneuverable. While it is not the easiest thing to haul around, due to its size, it is actually not that bad, considering its size. * Tons of attachments. More than you can ever need. CONS: * This thing attracts dust, saw dust and it sticks to its body like glitter to your forehead...so i have read...The cause of it is static...the vacuum cleaner is immediately covered in dust a minute after taking it out of the box, it looks filthy and old. * The filtering process is still from 20 years ago. Same filter that gets completely caked with dust and impedes airflow after a while. So you end up having to cover yourself in dust while cleaning the filter...or having to vacuum the filter with another vacuum...you look silly vacuuming your vacuum. Flipping the giant tub over to empty it in a trashcan. Why isn't there a "drawer" style removable receptacle that you can pull out and take with you to the trashcan? Instead you have to take the top off and all its attachments fall off in the process, disconnect the hose and puck up the entire tub...unnecessary. * Noise. It is really loud. Too loud perhaps. WANTS: * You included more attachments than we will ever need but did not include a universal adapter? The adapter would be of great value, these things are used on dewalt, skilsaw, porter, little machines, big machines and they all have different size dust ports... * Do not ask that we maintain all the attachments sitting on the tub rim...every time we empty the thing the attachments fall off. Why not give us an attachment bag/case? We can go to it every time we need to change and the actual vacuum is free of any items sitting on it. * Modern casters/wheels. Those hard plastic casters are from the 70s. Get with the times and place something more like rollerblade wheels on it. Softer rubber is quieter and struggles less to go over an electric cord or any other obstacle. The casters it comes with seem to get stuck on everything...even the idea of rolling gets them stuck...except you leave your vacuum unattended for 10 seconds on you driveway, then the thing will roll away a quarter mile into the neighborhood's Karen from yard... OVERALL this machine really picks up the dirt, sawdust, and anything else you have laying around. It has some serious attempt at great engineering and does the job very well, a little more attention paid to the ease of use would go a long way improving it.

This thing SUCKS!
I mean, it really sucks. Sucks so much I pulled the carpet in my car unglued. Didn’t damage it but it really does suck. Way more then what you need for household use. But it’s a must have for around the garage/shop.

Works as advertised
Working great so far would recommend only drawback is storage it takes up a lot more floors pace than my old one

Best balance of suction to price. I highly recommend it
I purchased this with a dust deputy and set those up together. Freaking amazing combo. Suction power is as strong as advertised. There are only 2 cons with this after months of experience: no hose holder, and one of the tubes is actually terrible. The dust hose is awful and I think it’s better to cut it and make a new larger hole for it to do it’s job

Smelly
The product itself is strong and easy to assemble. No smell whatsoever -- but when I turned it on it took about 10 seconds before the entire room smelled like a plastic fart. Not trying to be funny. It reeks really bad. I had to turn it off to try again another day.

Craftsman Shop vac.
I purchased this shop vac to clean up after a large dog. Animal hair clogs most vacuum cleaner hoses and holds such a small amount that its not worth the effort to drag it all out and the 45 minutes to empty it. I regret the Craftsman is SO LARGE but in order to have a wide width hose and a large holding container I surmise it requires a bigger motor. It does a very good job. Wish I had purchased a 20 foot hose so I wouldn’t have to lift it up and down stairs Its well made, and I do recommend it.

Powerful suction and relatively quiet.
Bought this (and additional attachments) to clean leaves out of gutters, the HP was probably overkill for the job but it worked a wonder and now I don't have rain spilling over my gutters. At first I thought the section was weak, but that was user error. If this happens to you, just un-attach and re-attach the blower head onto the bucket, a poor seal on the removable head really weakens the power. I had over 7 ft of extension including the hose and rigid tubes and it was still a very powerful suction once I had the head attached correctly. Used it while the baby was sleeping inside and he didn't even wake up. That isn't to say it is whisper quiet, but the sound dampener does work quite well.

Powerful leaf blower detachment
Bought this shop vac, solely for the leaf blower attachment. Very powerful, 6hp. I use these corded shop vac detachable leaf blowers for blowing out my garage, blowing snow out of the driveway, walkway and off my vehicles. I use it to blow dry my cars after washing. Blowing the lawn and anything else that needs blowing. This is my third one in 28 years and I use it every day. It is more powerful than gas blowers an d battery blowers. Open the four doors to your car, and the hatch back of your SUV and blow the inside of your car out. Leaf blowing the eaves trough.

Sucks good like she should.
Good value, sucks the chrome off a bumper for sure eh. But she’s heavy as hell when she’s full. Make sure you put your big boy pants on before you lift that thing up on a Monday morning! Well done Craftsman, another feather in the cap!

It is a very big device, before order consider that. Suction power is so good, too loudly but it sucks every lose items around. Recommend using it with bags.
