It really works
This was the 2nd kind of product. I use 40 volume with bleach and my head really burns. I mixed this product with it and it helped immensly. If a spot wa burning i put some directly on the spot and it works great. I highly recommend this product

Definitely protects the skin and ..
I wrote a review with a video , I had just burned my forehead with a hot iron but needed to color my hair . Maybe that’s why it was not posted ) I took a video how I prepped the burn ( it just started to build a crust ) with a few drops of Cuccio Stop the burn , mixed about 20 drops into the color/ 30% developer mix and applied to my gray roots . I have been coloring my hair so long ,I have an actual chemical burn on my neck from the 1980’s . I remember the pain of pure bleach w 40 Vol . I did absolutely noticed a difference using this product . There was no burning , not even on the actual burn so it does work. After washing out the color the hair that was covered with “Stop the Burn”felt like it was already conditioned, not like the rest of my hair ,like the ends where the product did not reach . I am not a professional hair stylist /colorist but have done my own and friends color a lot , I thought this stuff wouldn’t make a difference but it definitely did protect my skin and I recommend this to anyone who suffers from sensitive scalp skin, scalp problems , dry scalp , eczema etc.

Works as Advertised--maybe not necessary, though
The last time I colored/bleached my roots, I got the regular developer so I could test this and see if it did help with the burny feeling that can sometimes accompany this process. I'm happy to report that it did. However, I don't know that it's really necessary -- I usually buy the sensitive scalp developer which is the same price as the regular and accomplishes the same result.

Stops the burn
Trying to color your hair with dandruff is very tricky. You really should not do it but this helped tremendously. No stings or burning.

Need to adjust amount used based on quantity of dye used.
My husband uses beard dye to tone down the gray that is showing up in his beard and uses men's beard dye which comes in a substantially smaller tube than the regular men's or women's hair dye bottle. The product suggested 22 drops per bottle of dye and made no mention of what size that bottle was. So, some math involved... not horrible but it would have been a lot easier if the bottle just stated XX number of drops per oz of hair dye or some other such thing. Overall, he found that it did not affect the results of his dye job and that he did not get any chemical burns that he often gets if a drop of beard dye gets on his skin. Granted, it could have been that he was ultra careful, as he usually is, to not get any chems on his skin, but he did notice that he had no blisters this time. I am sure several applications will be needed to see if it was that he was careful or if the product made a difference. In any case, it sure did not hurt. I will update if he continues to use this and still gets chemical burns.

Seems to Work Well in Preventing Chemical Burns
My wife's scalp is very sensitive to hair dye, so this product was very appealing for her to try. It blends easily and did not affect the quality of her color at all. After coloring, she reported that her scalp did not have the burning sensation that she usually experiences. She did use a different brand of hair dye this time, so she is not certain that it was the Cuccio product that helped or the new brand of dye. Since several other brands have caused burns in the past, we are going to assume that the Cuccio product contributed to this better result and recommend giving it a try.

Can be added directly to scalp as well as the dye
I used this additive per the box directions using 20 drops in the dye and developer. I often mix my own instead of using a prepared box option. Sometimes I can ‘feel’ the burn and sometimes there is little to no irritation. The additive is comprised of good quality oils(sunflower, jojoba, avocado)with some menthol and Vitamin E. It is subjective, of course, but there was no burning while I processed my hair this last time. This product can also be added directly to the scalp (2-3 drops) if you have other scalp irritation. Since you use only 20 drops per application, this 2 ounce bottle should last a long while and numerous hair coloring sessions.
