A GOOD DESIGN AND WOULD BE WELL BUILT IF ONLY,,,
If only They did a better spot welding job AND used some QC prior to shipment. I got this frame and two packs of filters in a timely manor. Two of the spot welds had come apart in the shipping process (bummer). Not a huge deal. A little wire and some JB Weld and it's usable once again. I will not bother with returning this because I want to filter my fry oil. Thanks //(~_~)\\ AU

Will melt the filter media with even low temperatures
I used these to filter beeswax out of a crockpot, the rayon filters melted all apart, I found that an clean old cotton tee shirt cut into rags made a much better filter media. These are designed to filter cold oil, so I get I am using it outside of design parameters. But even at that. Most restaurants will let the oil cool only a little before changing it and I see in the reviews a lot of people had the same problems. Consider making the filter media out of something a little more heat resistant.

Sturdy filter holder
Stainless Steel filter holder is robust and perfect to fit over 5 gallon bucket size openings. Filters are definitely for cool liquids only. They tear easily using hot liquids. I use for filtering debris from gathered maple sap prior to evaporating.

Good Stand, Bad Filters
Nice sturdy stand, filters are garbage. Fall apart almost immediately and then the fibers get into what did get filtered.

Works very nicely
I dropped a star because I have excperienced filter blowout a couple of times, not often but it has happened. But it's easily the best way I've found to filter frying oil.

I use it to screen my deep frying oil
Screens out the small food bits in my deep frying oil. I screen it before putting it back in the storage jug.

Easy to work with.
I have small home fryer. I store my oil in plastic pitcher. The filter fits easily in the pitcher and makes it easy to filter the oil.
