CURT cargo bags are the ideal way to keep your belongings well protected from water, dirt, road grime and even wind damage, all while being easy to manage and perfectly fitted for a CURT cargo carrier or roof basket. Unlike other cargo bags that use a thin vinyl material, our cargo bags are made from a thick UV-resistant vinyl and have welded seams to be highly water-resistant. Thick, 1" wide polypropylene straps keep the bag firmly attached to the carrier and ensure your belongings will not jostle around. This CURT cargo bag comes with a heavy-duty zipper that wraps 3/4 of the way around the bag and hook-and-loop flaps to keep the zipper completely covered and the inside of the bag dry. For a little extra security, the zippers are able to be joined together and feature large holes to accept a padlock. This particular CURT cargo bag offers 12.25 cu. ft. of storage area and is a perfect fit for most CURT cargo carriers. All of our cargo bags are easy to fold up for compact storage and come with a limited lifetime warranty.

Great product!

This bag has really made it possible to travel with three kids and a dog in my jeep. It’s sturdy and has not let a drop of water in! I built an internal frame out of PVC which was very easy, cheap and makes a huge difference. My only criticism is opening and closing it after a Cold drive can be difficult. This is due to the thickness of material which is also a reason this is a great bag. Would definitely recommend this and any other Curt products. They have never let me down.

Great cargo bag

Great cargo bag. We have been using it since 2017. Many trips from CT to FL. It does add extra weight off the back and bounces around. I use a 4” rise on the hitch cause it does scrape entering driveways. I also use orange driveway stakes so I can see it in mirrors. Would highly recommend

Survived a cross country trip nice and dry

2 days on the road there, and 2 more back, several rainstorms, and all stayed dry inside the bag. Had room for a good sized cooler, our bags, and various other things. Install was easy, as you just loop the straps around the bars and pull them tight. I also tied the loose ends of the straps to keep the wind from shredding them, which was probably the most inconvenient part. I found when we did need to get into it on the road, it was easiest to undo the straps around the bars as they were shorter, and I could do something like a neck tie not to keep the loose ends neat and hidden behind the main strap.

Surprisingly heavy duty

Very pleased. Used this for driving 160 miles to our campground last week. The bags material was surprisingly thick vinyl. Despite the other reviews, I was picturing more along the lines of a heavy grill cover. It is actually very thick and seems very tear and puncture resistant as long as you you don’t put sharp objects like tools or something in it. I fit 1 large rubber tote, I medium tote, two small totes, and a case of Gatorade in it no problem. In fact, the size of my cargo platform was the only thing that limited me fitting my Coleman camp stove in there too. On the way home, I put one of our camp chairs with a couple rough edges in it as well (we drank the Gatorade). No signs of wear AT ALL after each trip. Extremely water proof. I drove in moderate rain headed up there, then left it parked in the open lot through a strong storm with winds about 20-40 mph and torrential downpours. Storm lasted about 90 minutes. When we got to our site it was bone dry inside. I will say that the straps seem a little cheap compared to the rest of the bag. The attachment points to the bag are heavily reinforced but I’m not too sure how well the buckles or the straps themselves would hold over time, or while securing a heavy, uneven load with items sliding around a lot so just be aware. That said, no complaints really on the straps, just that I wouldn’t personally trust them alone over time. I used ratchet straps to be extra secure. Overall, very pleased, took a star off because of the thin straps/buckles but would certainly recommend or buy again.

Great product, stayed dry on hwy thru rain

I wasn’t sure what to expect with this bag, but I couldn’t be happier with how it performed. I traveled 700 miles on the highway and through rain, and everything on the inside stayed dry. I fit three suitcases and other random stuff in there, and I easily could have fit more if I needed to. The six straps never budged and didn’t fray in the wind like I thought they might. Well worth the expense.

The bag is sturdy easy to set up

The bag is sturdy easy to set up. I like the two zippers that meet in the middle as opposed to one that goes over all three sides. The tie downs are sturdy. They stayed tight over my 350 mile trip. My only draw back is not with the product per se is that It was listed as made for my CURT cargo carrier and it is somewhat smaller. I wish the bag had the same inner dimensions (24 x 60).

Worth the Investment

With two kids and two dogs, we need a back hitch to store luggage when we travel. Hubbs bought the cargo bag to keep everything secure and dry, which worked well when we went through heavy rain on our first trip with it! This bag kept everything safe, dry, and clean. There are 6 individual straps that you secure on the bag and then onto the hitch rack. Easy enough that our 7 year old could do it in a flash.

Great cargo bag

Great cargo bag. Only thing I’m disappointed in is that I didn’t realize that there was a small hole in The bag until after I was on the road and in the rain. One side of my luggage got wet. Other than that I am very happy with my purchase.

Everything Fits! Perfect Purchase!

This is a perfect purchase this summer as we are always on the go. All our picnic gears fit in t his cargo bag (tents, mats, chairs, hammock, rollerblades, cooler) The material is thick and of high quality. We've tested in rainy weather. This is a good deal purchase!

Zipper is harder to close in cold weather.

Harder to work with when packing in cold weather. Went to Florida had heavy rain. Everything was bone dry. Very satisfied I am.
