I can only assume that it was really easy to install and that removing the trunk liner may ...

Recently our car was at the auto body shop after getting side-swiped by a tractor trailer. They had the trunk liner removed to do the body work. So I asked them to install this wiring harness while everything was out of the way. I told them I would pay whatever they determined to be reasonable. When we picked up the car, they said there was no charge. I can only assume that it was really easy to install and that removing the trunk liner may be the biggest part of the job.

Works just fine

I got this for a Mazda 6 2014 and that is recommended on the Curt site. Not easy to wire from the battery to the trunk. A quick way would be to wire to the lighter plug, temporary wise. The Harness Amazon recommended was not the right one I believe, for this car. This is good. On plugging into the rear lights I thought it was the wrong harness, but their is a third bulb connection that is 3-pin to connect to, it is kind of hidden.

Needs a dedicated 12 volt power wire to the battery

Fit perfect on my 2014 Mazda 6. Amazon said it didn't fit but I went off what the curt website said. It definitely needs the dedicated 12v power line to the battery to work. I tried to get power from the cigarette lighter plug in the center council, it didn't work. That was the hard part. It said to run it under the car but I ran it inside under the door sill trim pieces then through a grommet in the firewall. That's the hard part. After that just plug and play.
