What are WingLights WingLights are CYCL’s high quality bicycle turn signals. These lightweight, durable, waterproof turn signals are easy to install and even easier to use. Held in place via a metal mount and magnetic back, WingLights produce a bright flashing light when activated. Not only can WingLights be seen from all angles at any time of the day, they can be turned on or off without moving your hands from the handlebars. When removed, the units clip together to form a keyring on a karibiner for safekeeping. WingLights have been featured in The London Evening Standard, Road Safety GB, and Road.CC, and are what we strongly believe to be the next step in cycling safety. Why WingLights? Approximately 75% of all cycling accidents occur at major intersections and while turning. CYCL aims to reduce this figure by helping to increase cyclist visibility in these dangerous areas. When using WingLights as a supportive visual aid, drivers and other road users are more likely to notice your change in direction - lowering the chance of collisions and helping to increase your confidence while riding. Battery Life WingLights use 2 x Cr2032 batteries (included), and turn off automatically after 45 seconds -providing riders with up to six months of daily use. Alternatively, WingLights are compatible with 2 x Lir2032 rechargeable batteries. Hard to remove
I love these but they can be hard to remove. I've tried a drop of oil to keep them from locking together as friction seems the issue. But it didn't work. I've had to use pliers to remove them a couple of times.

Great concept, but fragile
Before I go into the details of this review, let me just say that I love the idea for these lights, and had been looking for something like them for a long time. After more than six months, they are still on the original batteries and are very bright, and they're used sometimes for multiple rides per day but at least 3-6 long rides per week. And I love introducing people to the concept of "bike blinkers" !! :) But the problem is this: In real life and use, they are very fragile. My bike is my primary means of transportation (by choice), and I put a lot of miles on it, and as anyone who cycles regularly, they know that incidents happen. Bikes get knocked over by others, accidentally, or even the wind can blow them over. While riding, especially in bike-unfriendly cities like Phoenix where we are usually confined to the sidewalk because of the dangerous streets, you can suddenly brush up against obstacles, bushes, etc. The WingLights Mag have a gorgeous look to them with a high-end finish, but they scratch incredibly easily. One or two accidental falls of your bike and much of the matte black coating will be gone. In addition, the amber-colored "lenses" are unfortunately not scratch-proof either. The, I'm guessing powder coated metal or anodized aluminum finish wears off very easily, and the "amber" coating seems to also be fragile. And, the magnetic mounts that insert into the bike handlebars get bent incredibly easily, since the WingLights are usually attached. The mounting system is so secure that the mounts just get all out of whack and are very hard to get back into "original" form. I do love the magnetic mounting concept because it prevents theft, but I feel like I'm going to have to buy a new pair of these every 6 months (which is as long as I've had them) because they look so messed up right now that I'm almost embarrassed to have them on my bike. (No, my bike isn't in pristine condition, but they're now an eyesore instead of looking cool and innovative. And, I do take pretty good care of my bike, but we all know that things happen.) The button mechanism for the lights generally has held up well in the few times that the bike has gotten knocked over onto its side -- and of course, right on to the side of the handlebars. But one light that got hit pretty badly now has a more finicky button than the other one. It still turns on and off and functions correctly, it just takes more effort to activate / deactivate. The only thing I'd say that could be improved about these is that the magnetic system could be more of a "snap into place" instead of "click on and screw tightly". This, I think, contributes to their damageability because they stay locked onto the bike and can't come off. Plus, since I always remove them when locking up my bike, I have to re-align the lights to shine correctly forward and backward each time, which is just another step to just "getting somewhere". (I suppose I could precisely align the handlebar inserts so that fully screwing the lights onto them should align them correctly automatically but I didn't think of that when I first installed them.) I am writing this review just to advise others, but I do hope the company will take note...and I'm happy to discuss my experiences further with them elsewhere. Thanks for listening.

Great safety addition
Love the WingLights. They are super easy to fit, and even easier to use. They're a great addition to my E-Scooter and enhance safety significantly, particularly in low light conditions. They're so effective, it makes you wonder why the scooter manufacturers don't do this.

they work great
They work great, a little awkward to use since the buttons are on the side. My hands are wide enough where I can touch them with my pinky and hopefully people with smaller hands use smaller handlebars. it would have been better if the button were more toward the center of the bike, and the lights were on the side in addition circular front, back, top, bottom like a cone. This would make them easier to reach and more visible. Overall a good product, super bright at night, though I still use hand gestures during the day. The detachable magnet feature is great for those concerned about theft as I am and don't want to damage them or accidentally set them off when you lean your bike and your handlebars touch something. Best option if you have slots on the side of your handlebars that I've looked up. I also wish I knew about the more recent version that has the option of staying on the entire time in addition to signaling along that is also USB rechargeable, which I bought but will take a few weeks to arrive. This is on the company's website, not Amazon

Easy install, great function and removable!
These are great in all but the brightest days. Ya, they could be a bit brighter, thus the 4 star instead of a 5. If I could do a 4.5 star, I would. They are a solid install and fit on my RadCity 4 e-bike well. The magnetic feature to remove them is great. I use the included key ring that holds them for my bike & lock keys, so it's really convenient too. At dusk and night, these are absolutely fantastic - a must have IMO!

Great product and customer service
Great product. Easy to install. One of the screws arrived slightly threaded so it would not fit my scooter. But they sent out a replacement immediately and works perfectly now.

Very good quality, bright indicators. Easy to install and use.
Excellent quality, all solid machined aluminium. Very easy to install at the bar ends. Very bright flashing light, turns off automatically after about 30 seconds. A great safety feature for my scooter as it allows indicating without removing your hands from the handlebar. Would be excellent for bikes also. Very well pleased. Would highly recommend.

Not easy to fit firmly, worked well, 6mth use then failed
Does not fit handlebars as easy as stated had to keep tightening them. Can’t remove the lights via the magnet/screw without impacting the fit in the handlebars. However they are great when out and about at night. Update: After about six months the outer casing fell off one of the devices while riding the bike, this caused the button at the top to also fall. Could not locate this button so one of the lights is mow useless. Will not buy a replacement.

These will make your e-scooter more legal in the UK at some point!
If you have a Segway or Pure Pro Air e-scooter you'll need to remove the end cap and fit these adapters (see attached photo). I replaced the foam grips for longer ones to accommodate the adapters. The indicators are magnetic and easy to remove & fit into the provided holder when leaving unattended. Very well built and strong design. Be seen be safe.
Cycle to work in a busy area, 5 outta 5 for me, great build quality, waterproof and look good, only down fall if you prop your bike against something the button at the end will actavat the indicarer unless you unscrew from mount with is a pain if you need to get off bike frequently.
