Looks just like Marble
Purchased this to put over our kitchen counters since we hadn't decided if we wanted to switch to quarts or granite. I was worried at first that it would be noticeable on the seems since our counters are very large, but I was pleasantly surprised! It was very easy to install (even on the rounded corners) and the adhesion was great but if you made a mistake it was easy to pull up and relay and have it stick back to the counter. When I was done, it completely changed the look of my kitchen and I love it!

It works! (But challenging to apply.)
This vinyl converted nasty old worn dark fake wood grain to a sleek modern kitchen counter. It was not easy - shed some tears, some swearing and ripping it off to do over. (So order extra!). The 17 inch is easier than the wider roll to get on smoothly with no bubbles. The little kit with the smoothing thing and knife works very well. It’s been several weeks and it is holding up well, even around the sink. I love it.

Wow! Amazing stuff
I don't remember contact paper being so nice. This gives a glossy semi-hard finish that's easy to clean. It was so easy to apply - just remember not to pull the backing off too much at a time. I overlapped the edges and pieced around corners and around the faucet, and from a couple of feet away, you would have no idea it wasn't one continuous piece. The marble pattern does a great job of hiding seams. I applied it in sections - from the refrigerator to the stove in one afternoon, which took maybe half an hour; from the stove past the sink to the end of the breakfast bar the next night, which took maybe an hour; and a 5' island which went super-fast, maybe 20 minutes or less. I used this to cover temporary plywood counters that are due to be replaced with stone in about three weeks, and all I did to prepare for application was to dust thoroughly with a paper towel, scrape off blobs of glue (this is scrap plywood from construction), and knock off splinters. I found that pinching the foil along the sharp edges and corners was helpful in getting good adhesion and a flat finish. I got the kit with the razor cutter, so I could wrap and then cut a clean edge. Otherwise, it was a lot like wrapping a gift box, not hard with a little patience. The plastic squeegee with felt on one edge was very helpful in smoothing it out. I got a lot better at application over time, so my earliest efforts weren't as good as the later ones, but I found that I could go back and make adjustments because you can peel it up a bit and stick it back down. The places I needed to fix were where I wrapped it around the front edge of the plywood and didn't get it smooth at first. Edge-pinching, smoothing with the hard side of the squeegee, and cutting the last edge with the razor cutter made it work great. Bonus: the plywood had a strong smell, which my husband thinks is because it was probably exterior-grade plywood. Covering it with this stuff stopped that smell completely. There's a little vinyl smell when you first put this on, but not much, and it goes away almost immediately. One complaint: It's only 17" wide. That means that I applied it from front to back on the counter and cut it to fit rather than running it down the length of the counter. That worked out well for odd corners and angles anyway, plus the area around the sink and faucet, but some of the other rolls of similar contact paper are 26" wide, and you could probably do this a lot faster if you got that. Note: there are instructions in several languages. The primary one appears to be German, but they have English, too. It's expensive (I paid about $10 a roll and needed five rolls for my kitchen), but it's worth it. The next three weeks are going to be a lot easier with counters I can actually wash.

Great product for the money
I have had this godawful pink faux marble fireplace surround for years now and I finally got so sick of coming home and seeing this salmon colored thing that I decided to fix it. I ordered and returned several different types of contact paper before I landed on this one. It feels very heavy duty, and while the image is pixelated when you look at it closely, from a normal distance you can't tell and I assume no one is going to be pressing their nose to my fireplace. I am a fairly handy person and putting this on was a slow process but not difficult at all. I moved slowly and used an old credit card to push all the air bubbles out along the way. It did end up with a couple of bubbles still but that was due to small gouges in the fake stone/painted cement board/whatever that pink thing was made of. When I was finished I took a very very sharp blade and poked the smallest hole in the bubble and pressed it down and *bam* no more bubble. The very edge of the fake tile that was there before is a very porous cement board and the contact paper does not stick well to that so beware of what you are trying to adhere to. It does adhere very well to the pink surface though as it was very smooth and I had no problems pulling it up a little to get a bubble out and then smoothing it back down. Truly the only negative thing I can come up with is the fact that the picture is a little grainy up close (as pictured in my last image). Other than that I say it was well worth the money and effort and I can't believe I waited 8 years to do it.

Surprisingly high gloss and easy to install
*** UPDATE *** I've finished the kitchen reno (amateur with dreams of a pro finish =) ) and added the bar table poured epoxy on the peel and stick. That step is vital because it takes it from semi-believable to the true, glassy finish you'd find on white marble! People who see this countertop think it's real. Would I use this product again? Without hesitation. *** ORIGINAL POST BELOW *** As far as using a peel and stick method to update my kitchen counter, I was under no illusions that it wasn't going to compete with the real thing, which we have in our other kitchen. I'm updating a basement kitchen on the cheap so this fit the bill. Surprisingly though, the material worked better than I thought and looks really, really good. Once I add the thick pourable epoxy clear coat it will look very realistic and be protected against knicks and scratches. PROS: 1. super high gloss which works really well for the white marble look 2. If you screw up placement (and you will) it's forgiving: you can simply lift it and move it without damaging the adhesive 3. Slightly more durable and thicker than the Dollar Store stuff which tears easily and doesn't have that protective gloss coating CONS: 1. Because of the random veining in the marble you can't easily tack on an extra piece and have it look seamless so plan carefully where those seams are going to be 2. Could be thicker 3. Could be stickier which would help on corners. I applied No Nails under all edges and then sealed them with a clear kitchen/bath silicone 4. Wish it came in wider rolls Overall, I'm very pleased with this purchase. It will save me thousands of dollars in reno costs. I was also surprised that the product is made in Germany. Maybe that accounts for the slightly better quality?

Finished countertop looks great.
Used this for my kitchen countertops. Makes the kitchen nice and bright. Can be tricky to work with and patience needed. Might be very useful to have someone hold the roll while you are trying to line up with placed sheets. You can see where you have lined up the sheets side by side but it wasn't a major deal as the counter always has things on it. Be very careful that your counter is super clean. Even the tiniest of crumbs show through the paper. Getting air bubbles out wasn't too hard. Lifting the paper if you needed to realign, work out air bubbles, etc was easy to do. Be careful not to let the glue sides stick together as taking this apart caused some lines in the paper. Overall it was a great product for the price and will see how it holds up.

Looks great!
Great product & budget friendly! I was able to easily pull off & realign to straighten. Tip: cut out sink insert after applying contact paper on surface. Too much pull if cut out before ????????‍♀️. Added epoxy coat after & looks 1000 times better:)

Really good looking but stains easily
The installation was long (6 hours, two persons) because we were perfectionists. Overall the installation was not hard, but you really need to be at least two and take your time. The product is thick and it does not matter if you peel it off and on again, it does not tear. My main critic would be that even if we were cautious in the weeks after applying it, it stained quite easily (curry sauce fell and left a yellow stain) and our slow-cooker also left a mark because the legs caused friction on the counter when we moved it. We are planning to do some touch ups in the futur. Overall, for the price, it's a really beautiful upgrade if you're ready to tolerate the little marks over time.

Producto ok, envió deficiente
Producto bueno, pero sólo la mitad de los rollos correspondían al modelo que solicité
