Lovely model, poor base
This is a very nicely done all-metal model of Kelly Johnson's F-104 Starfighter, from the Daron Postage Stamp collection. Only two caveats. First, it is quite a bit smaller than I expected. The product photo on Amazon would benefit if the model were shown in someone's hand, or next to a pencil, as a size reference. Second, the only non-metal part is the plastic display stand, which has two small prongs that fit into corresponding holes in the bottom of the model. Only problem was that the prongs were slightly too big to fit into the model. A bit of work with a nail file eased the fit, but this should not have been necessary, and is the reason this review gets four instead of five stars.
