Eh...not for me

I was a tried and true Magic Bullet user from day one. We're talking 2000-and -something-ish...way back. I loved how much easier it was to use than the typical counter top blender from days of yore. Not only was it a breeze to use but it was compact with the screw on top that doubles as a drinking cup with custom lid...can you say genius??? The personal blender was like taking the bullet to another level. I'm in! I ordered the Dash because I have a few of their products so I am familiar (and more importantly happy with) the brand. Once I opened the box and saw the size of the blade, I had my doubts. I tried to use it with a mixture of fresh and frozen fruits (plus water) and it kind of started to blend but the blade quickly got stuck and quit moving. I tried to jostle the fruit and water mixture around before turning it back on but nothing changed. It was a done deal. So I broke out my old tried and true to finish out the job that little Dash couldn't. I think if I was a powdered shake drinker who didn't like a little crushed ice blended into my smoothie, this would be great. But, I could also save myself $40 and just use a spoon. I think until they find a way to use a more powerful blade, this will be an issue for me and any personal blender on the market so a Magic Bullet gal I remain.

It’s definitely not 16 ounces. Only 13 ounces

It literally has 12 ounces printed on the container and max fill around 13 ounces. Misrepresentation. Does not chop well unless you add more liquid.

Small capacity

The color and included drink too is nice. The base has a cover to put over the blades is a good idea. However, the capacity of the bottle is small. I could only put 1 small scope of powder in and milk in the rest and it still got too thick. The motor struggled a bit and took a few tries. The arrows to line up the jar to the base is very hard to see and there’s not a notch to feel it. It’s ok.

Worked fine at first but died

I followed the instructions and it worked fine at first. A few months later, I had to recharge the battery and it would not work. I tried recharging again and no luck. I wanted to return it but my return window expired. I am going to try and contact the manufacturer but it’s was disappointing.

I like it

I have never made smoothies before and when I came across this portable USB blender I thought it would be a good opportunity to give it a try. The first thing I noticed when I took it out of the box is that it seemed pretty small. The blender charged pretty quickly with the included USB cord. With a recipe provided in the user manual I gathered the various ingredients for a smoothie, added them to the blender and pressed the button. The first time I tried it, it did not start. I then figured out that I had tightened it a little too much and went past the arrow (that I could not see). So I backed it up a little to line up the arrows and it started right up. Then I marked both arrows with a black permanent marker so they would be more visible. The logo is made to stand out so it would seem to me that they could do the same with the arrows. It seemed slow to start, although I'm not sure if it may have been because I was using frozen fruit. It is suggested frozen fruit should be thawed first. Once it got going, it mixed the ingredients well. I did have to move it back and forth to keep the ingredients moving around as the user manual stated. It made a delicious smoothie. I wish the size of the cup was a little bigger. I found myself wanting to make another smoothie as the first one was just not quite enough. It was easy to clean. I rinsed the cup and bottom cap, added warm water and a couple drops of Dawn, screwed on the blending base and turned it on. This did a good job of cleaning the base. Then I just hand washed the rest, although the user manual says you can put them in the dishwasher.

Don't waste your time.

Needed charging right out the box (another brand I tried arrived pre-charged at least half way). Charged it for about 2 hours until full/ready then I disconnected the USB, came back about 8 hours later to make a smoothie, the charge was depleted again. If I was traveling and relied on this product to hold a charge for a few hours, I'd be out of luck. Very disappointed, will send back.
