Decent Quality Not In Line With Delta Ara Faucet Line--Disappointing Plastic

This was part of the Ara line that I bought with the sink faucets. While I raved about the faucets on my review of them, this shower pair is less than desirable and a complete mismatch in both quality and material. The faucets are heavy, solid, sturdy, well built, and had good assembly; the shower trims are anything but. Most is cheap plastic, of low quality, and a frustration. I am not at all sure why there is such a disparity in quality but rest assured it is there. I would suggest you look for a like quality for the shower that matches the Ara faucets or walk from the entire deal and pay the extra money for a Kohler or a Moen set. One nice thing I do need to say is that Delta has now gone with a universal valve housing and the actual valve assembly that you need will come with the shower kit you buy. That is extremely helpful because there seems to be some conspiracy in the industry :) to make shower valves as complicated as possible.

Nice product design.

Well built, great design, works well. Most parts are metal construction except for the temp control, which is plastic. Easy to break the plastic tab inside. Be careful
