Just like in nature, frigid air meets the surface of warmer water and eventually, an ice crystal forms. Then another and another, freezing from the top down, pushing air bubbles and impurities away. ice ology ice cube system works the same way removing the air and allowing dissolved solids to settle, eliminating any cloudiness in the pure, crystal clear ice. Each ice ology tray features a lower and upper silicone mold. To use, fill the lower tray with tap water, and lower the upper silicone mold into place. During the freezing process (12 hours/overnight), bubbles and impurities filter to the bottom of the tray, leaving crystal clear ice in the ice molds! Makes Beautiful Ice!

The overall product is a little large so make sure you prepare a place for it before filling it with water. Once frozen, the round ice balls are just beautiful--well worth the effort to make! Even the not pretty "waste" ice on the bottom is nice for regular drinks. I only use the balls on my Old Fashioned cocktails and some cask-strength whiskey. First class!

Fool-Proof and Easy to Use

Overall this seemed like a pretty simple product to use, much better than others that I have tried. I got consistently clear ice with no issues. My one complaint is that I wish the spheres were 2.5" instead of 2". I posted a picture with a Tovolo 2.5" sphere on the left and the 2" Dexas sphere on the right. I feel like the 2.5" fits better in a standard rocks glass.

Great

Works great, produces nice clear ice as advertise. There was this 2 one and a larger one that makes 8. This fits perfectly on shelf in freezer. Going to investigate if they sell molds separately so you can interchange them

Nice Ice Rounds

This ice maker is very easy to use and makes perfectly shaped balls. The balls come out pretty clear, there is slight clouding on the bottom, but still pretty good. The balls are on the smaller size, would have liked them to be a tad bigger. Worth the purchase.

Gets clear Ice

Does what it says, gets you clear cubes. Down side I've noticed even after having washed them a few times is that if I don't run the cubes under some cold water before use I get minerals floating in my drink. This is with me using filtered water.

Best clear ice product I’ve purchased. First freeze produced perfectly clear spheres. Wish it made more than just two at a time.

Most freezers are way too cold to make these work

I followed the instructions exactly. Unfortunately, my ice wasn't clear. I emailed the company, and they suggested I keep my freezer warmer to slow down the freezing process. Even at the warmest setting, my freezer was too cold to make these work. Some folks have posted great photos of clear ice, but sadly that wasn't my experience. I tried to get them to work but ended up returning them.

It makes clear ice balls

The ice is great. The only thing is that in actual use it looks a lot less interesting that I expected. In a tall drink it kind of disappears, as it does in clearer ones. It looks great with dark drinks when about half of it sticks out, but that's it. Anyway, that has nothing to do with the quality of the product itself, which is very good.

It does what it says, makes 99% clear ice spheres out of ordinary tap water.

Once you use a clear ice sphere in a good quality scotch, you won't want to use a cloudy ice sphere or cube again!!

Excellent at making clear ice however I think the ice spheres are to big, A smaller size and different shapes would be good
