Fits good, ample stretch, but very harsh material
I metal detect as a hobby and was looking for stretchy work pants with knee pad pockets since I could not get the Duluth ones I used to buy. I came across these, read the reviews and decided to give them a try. (for reference I normally wear a 16/18....5'8" approx 215 lb and quite "curvy") They were just the right rise, not too high but higher than mid rise, a little loose in the waist but I always have that problem having to buy pants that fit my booty/thighs then being too big in the waist. Length was perfect for my height. The material was quite stiff but had a decent amount of stretch. I do not have sensitive skin by any means but after a few hours of detecting (walking, squatting, kneeling) my legs became so red and irritated from the coarse material rubbing as I moved it took several days for it to go away and I had to wear leggings under my pants the next day to protect them from any friction whatsoever. I will not buy another pair! With that said, I did buy two pairs of the Dickies overalls which are made of a stretchy ripstop material and absolutely love them.....I really wish Dickies would come out with a women's pant made of that same stretchy ripstop material with knee pad pockets!!!!

Love the roomy fit! Great to wear when doing DIY carpentry work
Love these pants! Haven't had painter or carpenter pants since college in the 1980's. These roomy pants are a welcome relief after wearing tight jeans for years-great to work in. I'm doing DIY construction work around our old house, and these pants are perfect to wear. I had to hem the legs because they were 2 1/2" too long, but I have to hem most pants. The material is stiff and heavy at first, but washing and wear eventually softens them. Something I didn't notice when I ordered these pants is that the knees are double reinforced with an extra layer of material. No big deal, I just didn't need or expect that. The pants will probably last forever. Well worth the purchase!!

Not for you if you have a large stomach / tummy
I bought these Dickies work pants and also a pair of plus Carh@rtt Crawford pants for comparison. I am going to return the Dickies and keep the others due to fit. I am size 22 on top and 22/24 on bottom, with about 55 inch hips. I have a large gut. For these Dickies pants: Length: A little short for me. I'm 5'9 in boots. Fit: The reason for my return. Gives a bizarre, uncomfortable, inflexible fit in the crotch. Fits how men's boxy jeans fit. Pattern is probably too straight for me. Back of waist fits well, no gaps and fits my large derriere well. Shame about the front. Fabric: Stiffer and slightly thinner than Carh@rtt pair. Somewhat loose weave, feels like it will shrink in dryer. Appearance: Pretty cute for cargo pants. I like the more narrow "skinny" leg better than the other pair. Moss color is pretty. Features: Awesome pockets and loops. Tough stitching. Value: Decent. Will probably only last one season. Overall I wish these had a curvier fit and I could keep them. They are not bad at all!

Comfy and good stretch!
I'm normally having to size up for my work pants, but with these I could have gotten away with sizing down. Purchased the 18 (normally 16/18 in non work pants) and am happy with the extra room. I work in HVAC and these have held up against sheetmetal snags, bending, squatting, climbing, and more. They don't feel as heavy as other canvas pants I've bought from Dickies do, so I've got high hopes for their preformance this summer.

Great for working
Did stretch a little during the day,but that’s ok! Better than too tight while Working!

Waist too big.
They fit okay in the hips but VERY big in the waist. They also ride VERY high. They would have been too awkward to alter so I returned them and purchased Dickies overalls.

good quality
good quality work pants, like the reinforced knees, sizing was a little off for me,,, definitely stretchy at the waist,,,I bought a size 14 probably should have gotten a 12,,, I'm 6', 170lbs, 34 waist, no butt, long legs,, { trans } length is good in the pants..I'd buy again but would def size down 1 size...still a good smooth comfy pant..

great fit.
fit great and seems to be very durable work pants so far. more lightweight then a carhart or helly hansen type pant but well worth the price.
