No good if you're 5" or less

This Doc Johnson ‘The Tube’ is 5 5/8” long and the hole is .57” (14.6mm) measured with digital calipers. It has a lot of elasticity and easily fit my 5” girth just fine. If you are 5 inches in length or shorter, you may not enjoy this toy because your head won’t show or maybe only a tiny bit. Doc should consider making a shorter one for those guys. But I think it’s best for 6 inch or longer erections. It has a unique feel as you move it up and down. Feels like rumbling or fluttering when the inner ribs rub on the back of the ‘helmet’ (corona). You can hear it too, like sputtering. Avoid storing it with other toys of the same or similar material otherwise they will stick to each other and be damaged when you peel them apart. I store mine separately in a plastic bag with some corn starch sprinkled in.

Definitely not a fleshlight - but I like it.

I knew from the reviews that this was not going to be like the fleshlight that I have. However, for the price you can't go wrong. I have only used it once so far and it was pretty tight on the first try, it didn't really loosen much, but once you get enough lube, it feels pretty good. Unfortunately, because of the tightness, you don't feel the inner rings as much as you would if it was a little looser. The perfume-like smell was pretty strong, but got better after I washed it - I have a feeling it will fade more and more but it was not unbearable. It would be nice if the tube came in a longer model so that you could choose which one you wanted. A longer size would have been nice, but once you get a good rhythm going, its fine. Again, its not a fleshlight, but it is much easier to clean, it is a lot more portable, especially for traveling and things, and it gets the job done - actually pretty quickly...Overall, I am very pleased with the product so far. Update November 2011 - the perfume smell is still present, but it has gotten better. The tube has loosened up some and is more comfortable and more stimulating. I have found myself using this more than my fleshlight simply because of the size, portability, and easier clean-up. You still can't beat this product for the price. So - still happy with it so far!!! Update October 2013 - I just bought another one of these. Do NOT use ID velvet lube with this item - it is not toy safe and starts to break down the material. Finally caused mine to come apart. However, you can see the date of my last update was almost two years ago - so I definitely got plenty of use out of it.

Feels darn close to the real thing.

This is my 3rd purchase of this item. As mentioned by other reviewers, it doesn't have a long life span, it does have a tendency to split into pieces. Maybe I use them to much, I'm an 2-3 times a day masturbator. Maybe I'm to rough with it. I don't know. I have found other uses for the pieces like a cock ring, ball stretcher. Just consider it a 3 in 1 purchase. For the price, I will continue to purchase them as they are the best value for such a product as I've found. The feel is super soft, the texture perfect and makes for pleasurable experience all around.

Great material but broke on first use

Great material that feels amazingly soft and works well with H2O lubricants, but.. Vertical tearing of the tubes inner lining began almost immediately on my first use (~10min) of light usage. After following the cleaning steps verbatim as directed by instructions from seller's page, I tried again. The tearing however quickly formed branch like lines that eventually connected from top to bottom and tore the tube from the inside out on my second use, and just like that - went from cylinder tube to sexy sheet of silicon paper. Overall, what this item has in sensation and ease of use / cleaning, it lacks longevity and re usability from what ( I believe ) is poor a design choices for the tubes thickness from the inner to outer sides. If your packing heat that sits more on the side of girth or above average length, this toy will have a good hour at best of use before it becomes an ergonomic mousepad with memory gel wrist support. For the price point, I expected a bit more usage out of it. Better off putting it towards a higher quality item until a newer version is available, or a different size.

Ripped easily.

I bought this for my boyfriend, but it's actually a little bit... generous. I know that sounds strange, given so many people say it's too tight, but hear me out. There are plenty of products that I've seen that are laughably small, and would OBVIOUSLY be too tight. And this one looks like it's a good size at first, but it stretches SO much that it slipped off a great deal, because it had insufficient grip. It's a bit hard to explain. When you have to hold onto it so tight, it's hard to feel the ridges, because they are soft, and you're flattening them. I guess that's the primary issue. It's too soft, and there's no supportive structure around it to keep it from just stretching, flattening, etc, when you try to pull back and forth on it. It actually tore after a few attempts at using it. All in all, I would say the soft gel material that this is made of, is better suited to something like a tenga egg, which is MEANT to stretch length-wise as part of its function, or to a toy with a solid support around it, like a fleshlight. As it currently is, this isn't very effective. It's too hard to hang onto, and that's a distraction. Last thing you wanna be thinking about is the floppy sex toy between your legs while you go at it, am I right?

Never used anything before. Simple silicon ribbed tube that gives such pleasure, just add lube and insert. Now being relegated to the spare room is a treat. So easy to clean, dry and hide away.......... If you are reading then just buy, if your disappointed then I will come and show you how to use....lol.

Tight fit, lots of lube required. Could be resolved by being a bit more loose or elastic, lubrication expels out either end during use due to it having less room to expand when erect.

Well, so far so good after reading numerous reviews for this product they were right, it's useful and fit for purpose. Size is recommendable and even the material used. Easy to clean and just about the right price.
