My son has eczema and this has helped him a lot. Cheaper soaps made his situation on his hands bad. This stuff is great.

Doesn't Dry Out My Skin

I wash my hands maybe more often than I should. Some soaps tend to dry my skin, but I haven't had that problem with this one. Plus it's certified vegan.

Ewwww the Smell!

It may be moisturizing, but to get that moisture is not worth having to smell it! It's the most horrible overwhelming cheap perfume smell. Gross. Migraine inducing. Throwing away all of them.

Mixed thoughts on this

From my wife: I really like Dove products, and this hand wash seems to be good. The problem is that I don’t believe it is better than the cheaper store brand soft-soap I’ve been using that contains aloe vera. I use a lot of alcohol scrubs at work (occupational requirement), and this leaves my hands dry and cracking – especially in the winter months. After using this hand wash by Dove for a couple weeks, I haven’t noticed any improvements. Maybe if it also included aloe vera? I don’t know. I guess I was expecting it to be better.

Cleans without stripping already dry skin. Imparts noticeable moisture to skin.

I've only been using Dove's Advanced Care Hand Wash for one day. I have very dry skin on my hands and have been so impressed with how Dove products are healing my teenager's eczema prone skin that I was very excited to try this. The scent is heavily floral and lingers for hours. It's not unpleasant, but if you're sensitive to scents it might be too much. The hand wash lathers nicely and feels lovely on the skin. After rinsing, my skin doesn't feel stripped like it might with hospital soaps. After the first wash, my hands felt smoother. The scent is heavily floral, but pleasant. It doesn't irritate my skin at all. I can tell that the hand wash contains a lot of moisturizers, but it's not so much that I can get away without using a hand cream afterwards. So far, I like it. It's priced close enough to my normal hand soap that it's not out of line for the quantity. I'll update this periodically if I begin to notice a real change, other than just feeling that my hands are superficially more moisturized.

Nice hand soap

My husband likes to have hand soap that says it’s moisturizing. He doesn’t quite understand that no hand soap is going to function the same as lotion and make your hands more moisturized and that moisturizing soap will just be less drying than others. He complained that this soap doesn’t moisturize but I definitely think my hands are a ton less dry than with our old soap so I would say it’s effective. It’s pretty thick and I wish the pump didn’t pump so much out at a time because it makes my husband and kids use way too much at one time. A little bit of this goes a long way. I don’t really notice a scent and personally don’t love that it seems not to really wash off completely but I’m sure others like that. Overall it’s a decent soap and I definitely prefer it to others I’ve tried and my husband is happier than with the old stuff.

Very moisturizing

Great handsoap with the classic dove scent. I really like this handsoap. It's creamy, lathers nicely and is moisturizing. I wash my hands alot and they usually get very dry but not with this. It's a great value for 4 bottles also. This will last awhile.

Moisturizing hand wash

This hand soap has a pretty strong scent, I like it and it smells like their body wash, but it is a bit strong. I like the creamy consistency. It lathers and cleans well and my hands are left soft and moisturized. I definitely find it more moisturizing then other hand soaps. It's perfect for my OCD husband who is constantly washing his hands and experiences dryness/irritation because of it. The bottles are generous sizes too.
