Gotta Get Used to The Scent

For many, many years, I've been a fan of Dove products. I love their bar & liquid soaps, shampoo, conditioner and even their deodorant. I felt it would be a no-brainer to get these new liquid scented soaps. I purchased four of the pump bottles and three refill bottles. After using them a couple days, I have to admit that I'm not fond of the scent. It's not the vanilla nor the coconut. It's the soapy smell! It's really overwhelming and it lasts quite a while. My hands smell of soap no matter how long I rub and rinse. As far as cleaning goes, it's a great cleaner even if my hands are greasy. Just gotta get used to the soapy smell. I thought that I had found a nice vanilla scent that wasn't as pricey as the bath shop one. I was wrong.

Strong vanilla scent that lingers on your skin, moisturizing, cleans well

Dove is one of my go to brands. I love trying any and all new products that they put on the market because I am never disappointed! I have tried several Dove Hand Wash products before and love them! I have never tried the Shea Butter & Warm Vanilla scent before and am SO GLAD I did! It smells fantastic! It has a very strong vanilla scent that does linger on your skin long after drying them. You also get the roasted nutty scent of the shea butter. The two scents combined is just heavenly - so warm and inviting! While the soap itself isn't antibacterial, it still serves its purpose by washing away germs, bacteria, and dirt when used properly and FREQUENTLY! The soap lathers up well, rinses completely with no slimy residue left behind! I wash my hands A LOT and haven't noticed any dryness after use. My hands feel soft, smooth, and clean. I don't feel the need to immediately go and slather them in lotion. I didn't experience any issues with the bottles or pumps. I have opened and used two so far without any problems! Wonderful product!

So disappointed

Bought based on reviews and thought might be worth a little splurge. Wrong. It is so strong and perfumy. I hate how long the smell sticks on you. I keep washing because I cant stand the scent. Maybe it does better at keeping hands from drying out but cant get past the smell and great, have 4 bottles of this stuff.

No complaints!

I use dove body wash regularly so I figured I would give their hand soap a try and I love it! Good size bottle, not too big or too small for the counter, and the pump works great. The smell is similar to the body wash and smells pretty good. It is a fairly strong smell but not overpowering, in my opinion. I was expecting it to take a bit longer for all of the soap to wash off, but it doesn’t “stick” to your hands like other soap can and didn’t require excessive scrubbing. Very happy!

Very strongly scented

From my wife: I really like Dove products, but I’m not a fan of this particular product. The handwash is moisturizing, but I don’t find it better the store brand soft-soap that contains aloe vera. Perhaps it will just take my skin a little longer to experience the advertised results? The biggest detractor for me though is the scent. It says “warm vanilla” but it smells more like strong cologne – I can’t actually pick up on a vanilla scent at all. As far as the product overall, I can recommend the Dove Advanced Care Hand Wash product line as a decent moisturizing hand soap, but I would get a different scent.

They look the same as the ones you can get at any big box store. One bottle has a loose cap, it spilled a little inside the box but less than a ¼ teaspoon full and no big deal. The smell is quite strong of vanilla. Installation/setup: Use as hand soap in your daily routine. Final thoughts: This has a very strong fragrance of the “warm vanilla”. It also lingers a bit after you wash your hands no matter how much you rinse. The smell is nice, but to me it gets in the way of being able to smell other things that are held in your hands. The moisturizing aspect of this hand soap does work well, it’s winter and my hands feel much softer and less dry after using this several times a day for about a week. This is nice and I’m glad I got it, just be prepared for the fragrance. ⭐️1 star - I don't recommend it at all, poor quality. ⭐️⭐️ 2 stars - I don't recommend it, it has multiple faults, or a very high price. ⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3 stars - It's passable, It has some faults but the quality is ok for what it is. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4 stars - Product quite acceptable, it does what it promises. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 stars - Product that I totally recommend.

cleans while being gentle on your skin

i have boxes upon boxes of hand soap in my home, all sorts of brands and all sorts of scents. but my go to lately has been dove. i wash my hands pretty frequently so they easily dry out and crack, but while using dove handsoap it really hasn't been as much of an issue. so many hand soaps claim to be gentle and moisturizing on your hands, but so few actually deliver. i'm not particularly fond of the scent of this soap, just because i don't really like vanilla, but i will be leaving this one out for guests :)

Much less drying than soap, but I still need to moisturize after washing.

I've replaced all of the liquid hand soap in my house with eitherDove's Deep Moisture Hand Wash or their Shea butter & Warm Vanilla hand wash. I have very dry skin on my hands and wash them frequently, so it's been an interesting experiment. The scent is like vanilla, with the scent most often attributed to shea butter (but that doesn't actually smell like real life shea butter). The hand wash lathers nicely and feels lovely on the skin. It's got an incredibly "soft" feel to it, and doesn't feel like it's drying out my skin. After rinsing, my skin doesn't feel stripped like it might with hospital soaps. It doesn't irritate my skin at all. I can tell that the hand wash contains a lot of moisturizers, but it's not so much that I can get away without using a hand cream afterwards. So far, I like it. It's priced close enough to my normal hand soap that it's not out of line for the quantity.
