Love these Comfortable Sandals

I expected to hate these. I really did but I love them. I’m a big girl, 2X, and these fit great. I had to size down as seems usual for me with Dr. Martens, and these were no different. Got a size 9 and they fit great. The laces are comfortable as long as you don’t tie them too tightly. I also noticed that you have to make sure to tighten around the toes for your foot otherwise they feel weird. These are the most comfortable lace up sandals I’ve had. I had Sanuk’s before and they were adorable but so painful after a few hours whereas I’ve been able to go half the day in these with lots of waking and no issue other. The boot platform really helps with feeling away from the ground because I hate feeling like I’m walking barefoot. These feel like you have something on your feet. That’s not a problem for me, but a preference.

So I love my docs but I was looking for a comparable sandal for summer and these are IT! I’m a size 10 and ordered a size 10 because I have wide feet, and these are spot on. I really like how they’re adjustable. i suggest not sizing down if you have wide feet. Also, I noticed some folks saying these cut up their feet with blisters. As soon as I tried mine on, I noticed right away that the inside toe was sharp and that the seams were pretty raw. DUCK TAPE IS A GAME CHANGER!! I lined each inner strap with just enough tape, cut to size, see photos. It smooths over the rough seem without adding any bulk and nobody would be the wiser. Still needs a little breaking in but is significant better!

Very cute!!! They do run king of big.

These sandals are so cute. I’m so excited! They are comfortable but they do run a little big. Reviews seemed mixed between the shoe either being too big or fit as expected. My left foot is a half size bigger than my right (size 9.5 left, size 9 right). I went with a size 9. The sandal fits perfect on my left foot. It’s slightly big on my right foot, but not to the point that it’s uncomfortable. You can see in the picture, there is a gap between my heel and the back strap. I’m honestly okay with this and figured I can put a bandage or something on my heel if I’m worried it’ll blister. Maybe size down if you are in between sizes?

UPDATE ON REPLACEMENT SHOES! Poor Quality Control

UPDATE: My new pair of size 10 sandals arrived and all the straps are the same length and they fit beautifully. However, the stitching on the underneath of each strap was sharp & scratchy, which will tear up the tops of my feet as I walk. I tried to find something I could use as a barrier to protect my skin and the best I could find is moleskin or clear medical tape. I looked closer at the stitching underneath the strap, and I could see the thread was tied off with heat which created a sharp edge on the thread. I got out an emery board and lightly buffed away the sharp thread, and now they are nice and smooth and doesnt scratch my feet. YAY! In doing so, however, I compromised the strength of the thread. Since the strap is glued as well as stitched, it should be ok, but I will use some clear nail polish on all the stitching I buffed for extra strength of the thread. So I think I solved my problem, but I shouldn't have to go through this to get a nice pair of walking sandals. For that reason, my review is 3 stars. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I'm a size 11, but I bought a size 11 and a size 10 after reading all the reviews, and planned to keep whichever size fit best. The size 10 fit best, but the straps that go across the top of the left sandal are shorter than the straps on the right sandal. In fact, the middle strap on the left sandal is an inch shorter than on the right sandal! That's significant. You can really see the difference between the left and right sandal. Also the inside of each strap is finished off with plastic thread that is very scratchy to the skin and I worry that it will really dig into my skin if I wear these a lot. I think I'm going to look into some sort of clear rubber skin protectors that will protect my skin when I break them in. So I'm returning both sizes of sandals, and purchasing a new pair of size 10. Hopefully the next set of sandals will have even straps, and the plastic thread will be finished off nicely so they dont scratch my skin up.

Perfect comfort, perfect style. Women & teens stop me in stores to ask how they can get them. Order one size down. If they seem loose on top though the sole fits, do this: Tighten up the laces and then run them through the back tab. I own three pairs. I forget they're on my feet until someone comments on how cute they are or asks for the shoe info to buy them. I have many shoes and boots, and most have some flaw, however tiny. These are just perfect.

Cute but be aware of potential blisters

sandals are cute. only problem with them is they cause blisters where ever the straps land on your feet. I fixed it with electrical tape so hopefully it will help.

Very comfortable

The shoes are true to size, very comfortable and great quality. I have very short wide feet and I’ve always wanted a pair of Docs. Glad I found these! My pinky toes are hidden but none the less I absolutely adore them!

Worth every penny once you’ve worn them in

On the first couple of wears they gave me blisters on the heel and toes and a bit of rope burn across the front of my foot. I do have a high instep so that part is on my really. They are so comfortable underfoot and look great. After wearing them around the house they’ve become a lot better and new blisters currently. I genuinely think it’s a doc martens thing as my boots used to do the same thing when they were new. Like I said really lovely and comfortable so worth the initial pain and money.

Size down! I’m size 6 and size 5 fit perfectly

The media could not be loaded. Absolutely love them! Can’t wait for a warmer weather to wear them! Very comfortable. Very light compared with rest of my docs. Only straps are bit rough but sure those wouldn’t be doc martens if I wouldn’t end up with few blisters lol
