Perfect for VW Bus with dual batteries

Do you have a VW Bus? Do you want to run dual batteries? Have you read all the posts out there about dual batteries and you are still confused on which method to use? Well look no further this product is exactly what you need! Yes, you will have to make up the wires that come pre cut and terminated in that other guys kit but this is even simpler and serves the same purpose! Do you have that annoying useless diagnostic test plug in your buses engine bay? Well it is time to make that thing go away this solenoid will mount ion the exact same spot, using the exact same screws you just have to add a couple of washers. So no modifications or drilling holes in your classic VW. After if is mounted install is simple, one wire (I used 8 gauge) from the starting battery to the solenoid and another 8 AWG wire from the other side of the solenoid to the positive side of the house battery. Then grab a signal wire from your alternator warning light wire the turquoise wire coming off the voltage regulator and done! Wait! You do not want to cut into your alternator wiring harness and you have a type 4 bus with a heater booster fan? Well you are in luck the same turquoise wire goes to the relay for that fan so you can pick it up there too!

So far everything is great with this

I bought my 78 dodge sportsman RV 2 years ago. Ever since I have had it, the rear battery would not charge. Everyone I asked didn't know why. Finally my GF's step brother said it is the solioid. So I purchase this one because it matched up to the one I already had. Been a week so far and it has been Chadron that battery!!!

FIRE HAZARD

Do not buy this item, I'm charging 2 acid batteries on my RV and this thing gets really hot. BEWARE Buy original !!!!!!!!!

Works as intended

I used this as an isolator for the battery in my enclosed trailer. I ran the switch to the running lights so when the trailer lights are on the battery is charging. I pull my trailer in the dark all the time so this thing gets quite a bit of use. So far its held its own. The battery stays charged and it hasn’t started the trailer on fire so im happy!

Don't install too close to a metal wall in your car or you might short the nut (positive) to the wall (negative)
