Great transition bed
---Update--- We've now used this bed through 3 little ones (youngest is still using it) and it has held up to some serious abuse. I changed my rating from 4 to 5 stars based on durability and customer service from the company (when I originally bought it, the footboard was cracked but the company sent a new one out no problem). We've laid in bed with our kids in this - no small feat and certainly not comfortable but it didn't break under our weight. My boys have jumped on it violently. It has been dissembled, moved, and reassembled three times. And it still stands (recently, the headboard will start to separate a bit after the occasional abuse from the boys but since it's held together by wood pegs, it's an easy fix by pounding it back together with your hands and would be easy to solve completely if I wasn't about done with it). This thing is a champ and I never expected to truly get over five years of nonstop, hard service from it so I recommend this brand 100%. ---------------------------------------------- We bought this for our 19-month-old who is getting a brother in a few months and we needed her crib. I am 24 weeks pregnant and put this together by myself (with the "help" of my daughter) in about an hour & would have been able to do it even faster with another person. The supports do seem a little flimsy but my husband has laid on this bed so it can take at least 160 pounds so it's tougher than it looks. I wish the rails were a bit longer; I had to go buy an additional bed rail to keep my daughter from falling out, but no biggie since it also helps keep her more contained and makes it feel more like a crib if I put the other side against the wall. Looks a lot more expensive than it was so that's a plus! Make sure to check your pieces before you assemble though; the footboard to ours came with a huge crack so I'm hoping the manufacturer will help us with a replacement since I've already tossed the box (oops).

A LOT OF ASSEMBLY REQUIRED
For the price I paid for this bed, I can not really complain about it much. Its a cute little bed, and I purchased it as a bed for my German Shepherd so my expectations were not super high anyway. That being said, I feel they could have made the assembly on this WAY easier. I was instantly concerned when the box came and it was about a third of the size the bed was supposed to be. Upon opening the box, there was about 50 pieces to put together for something that I would have assumed came in about four pieces. I consider myself a very handy person but this still took me over an hour to finagle together, as the instructions leave a lot to be desired. Its not the greatest quality in the entire world, some of the pieces didn't really fit quite right so I had to use a mallet to tap them into place. All those little slats in the headboard and foot board that you see in the picture... those are all separate and have to be put together. Also they could not just send regular screws, they have to send these weird little barrel nuts that are a giant pain to get in. Overall it's a cute bed, not something I would purchase for a child (I would spring for something a little nicer) but for a dog I would totally recommend it.

Totally worth the battle of putting it together
First I would like to point out mixed up the instructions are. All the bolts, screws, and boards are labeled(which I really loved). The instructions give pictures for each step including a nice, small, detailed paragraph on how to put it together. BUT, I recommened reading every single step before putting it together. The instructions ARE in order, but If I was writing the instruction booklet it would have added a few extra steps and tips to making it easier to put together, and probably faster. I read other reviews that it took them around 2 hours together, and they aren't kidding. It took my friend and I almost 3 hours to assemble. So make sure you have the time and patiences for putting it together. The toddler bed is absolutely perfect once it is finally assembled. My friend was even able to sit on it at the end of finishing it, it is very sturdy. Im really pleased with how it looks, even after battling to put it together! Would buy again, but would read the instructions all the way first.

More Assembly Required
I bought this bed 5 months ago for my now 18 month old. We wanted to transition her from her crib when we moved and she got her own room. I looked at dozens of beds, and after a lot of comparison settled on this one based on reviews and looks. I am, unfortunately, hugely disappointed in the assembly. Hopefully my experience is just one weird fluke out of dozens of perfect assemblies! PROS 1. The bed is seriously cute. It looks GREAT in my daughter's room, and I LOVE the classic styling. Beautiful. And she loves it, which of course is VERY important. 2. Once put together, it feels sturdy. 3. The paint is nice, not thin, and doesn't look cheap. 4. Ordinarily I can see it would be easy to assemble (see #2 below). CONS 1. The box was delivered with a palm-sized hole in the side that had been taped up. When I opened the box I found there was a deep gouge in the foot board. Under the circumstances I decided not to return it since the marks were on the inside of the foot board and wouldn't be that visible, and honestly I didn't want to deal with the hassle of returning and ordering a new one. 2. All the holes were not pre-drilled in the sides to allow the boards that hold the mattress to fit into the side rails. I had to bust out the drill to finish putting the bed together. And since not all the pre-drilled parts fit together anyway, occasionally a board or two falls out from under the mattress onto the floor. Luckily I put it together so that this problem occurs at the foot of the bed. So, I have a love-hate relationship with this bed. It looks great and feels (mostly) sturdy, but every time a board slips out and I feel like grabbing the duct tape, I get frustrated. Sigh.

Muy bonita
La base de la cama se siente bien y firme ya una vez armada. Solo sugeriría que en la descripción del producto pusieran las medidas de la cama, largo, ancho y alto; ya que esta un poco mas pequeña de lo que me imagine.

Bed is unsafe
Extremely flimsy - if like my child, yours tosses and turns quite vigorously, expect the bed to move quite a bit. There are also protrusions at the joints - my child slipped off the bed while asleep and scratched her back on the protrusions.
