Cute Bed, Horrible Instructions
The instructions to build this bed are full of lies. It has you get the wrong screwdriver type (it says phillips but means flathead). It also tells you to not remove the protective covering from the acylic until after its fully assembled. If you follow that, you will find it insanely hard to remove that film, if not impossible, without resorting to a razor blade and risking scratching the acylic. The instructions also don't do a great job at explaining which side of the head/foot boards need to face out. On top of bad instructions, the acrobatics you have to go through to screw the final screws in was one of the most obnoxious steps in furniture building I have ever done (and I have put together a ton of furniture over the years). That being said, the bed is so pretty. I love the muted pink and the acrylic panels are gorgeous. It also feels very sturdy, the bed is for my 2.5 year old, but she and my 5 year old often play in it with no issues. I find that I am not a huge fan of having the only opening being in the middle of the bed, I wish I could remove another side panel (something to consider if you have a smaller space or need this bed to be next to bulkier furniture It came with pens so that the acrylic could be drawn on, which I thought was a cute idea, thinking it was a dry erase like thing. Nope, it came with paint pens...paint pens that said to keep away from children. Even with direct supervision, I could never hand my 2.5 year old a paint pen. It takes up slightly less space than our crib did, and it fits the mattress just fine. I haven't had issues with color bleeding when I have cleaned it with water or dust spray.

Adorable bed but super awkward assembly
Our boys were all climbing out of their cribs by 15 months. Our nearly 3-year-old girl hasn't attempted it once and we're fine with that but she was ready for a big girl bed. This is an adorable big girl bed that is sturdy and versatile. The main issue was the assembly, which was super awkward. AWKWARD ASSEMBLY: I assemble furniture pretty often, so I was not phased by this construction but it took a long time—probably two hours all together. I did the first part (which was basically creating the first "chair"). My 7-year-old son did the second chair surprisingly all by himself. He missed a couple things. Then we and my 6-year-old finished it off. The middle section which joined the two chairs into a bed was really awkward. There are four bolts that go in where there is very little room to use the hex wrench (pictured) so you can't get a good angle. These four bolts took probably 45 minutes to get in place and it's not very sturdy at those joints. They also instruct to not pull the plastic film off the transparent head boards until AFTER assembly, but at that point it's much more difficult to remove so I recommend doing that first. The mattress support slats are thick and sturdy and should be sufficient to support our darling girl but if the boys get the idea to jump on her bed I could see it going badly and they don't provide any extra pieces (including hardware) for backup. Finished product is great though and our girl absolutely loves her new bed.

Strong and durable
This strong and adorable just like my daughter we got this for. They sure do grow up fast. I really like how easy this was to assemble. I did not have any problems and the instructions were clear. Everything went together smooth and it feels very durable. We like how low it is to the ground and we feel like this is going to make it much easier to transition to a bed because it has the rails. We tried another bed frame without rails and she kept getting out of bed. We hope the rails on this guide her into knowing it is bed time without having to put her in the crib to contain her at night.
