Did exactly what I needed it to.
I used it to widen a hole on tempered steel. Works great.

Cleared right through a steel bolt and aluminum casing.
Allowed me to "drill" out a sheared-off M6 bolt and enlarger the hole for a threaded repair insert. Cleared through the steel bolt and aluminum casing with minimal effort. Will buy it again when this one dulls out.

Great tool
Cuts very well doesn't break if used properly. I trimmed 1/8 inch steel with it no problems.

Good sharp cutter for mild steel but very brittle
I bought this cutter to make a square hole in a metal stud - the type of metal studs used to hold up drywall in high-rise apartments/offices. The cutter worked great, it moved through the metal stud no problem. I did however have 2 problems that I'm writing this review so that others can benefit from my experience: 1.) The cutter is relatively short. I was trying to cut metal that was behind some drywall. So the cutter had to be long enough to get through the drywall and through the metal. Because of an obstruction on the wall surface, I had to hold the tool about 1.25" away from the metal. This made it so that only the very tip of the cutter would contact the metal. While it worked I can comment that the tool is very short, so consider you application before buying. 2.) The cutter is very brittle. I actually cracked the shaft of this tool and could not complete my job. Because of my particular use, the cutter was bouncing around a bit in the slot I was cutting. This caused the bit to break. After it broke, i used the remaining portion to try to cut again. It broke a second time. Final recommendations: This cutter is good for controlled cuts in mild metals where you can brace/secure the work and the tool. This tool is not very good for free-hand cutting as I was doing. Make sure that you control the tool well to prevent bouncing and cracking of the bit. I think I will re-try with a thicker-shanked bit. Perhaps 3/8" if I can find one.

Tungsten carbide endmill
Not much to say, they are endmills in Tungsten carbide. Dremel pricing is too high for tooling like this. Came loose bouncing around in a big box, one of the two I ordered was stuck in bottom flap, ready to fall out. Luckily I received both, was close call.

Finished the task
I needed to shape an opening I drilled in the end of a hand railing. I was slightly off center and just needed to round over a bit to center the peg. This bit was perfect for the job and did it well and quick. It easily worked its way through oak. Job done.

Cuts hardened metal effortlessly.
I was working on turning an old bastard file into a knife and needed some way to add minor details on the handle. This got the job done and it still holds its edge. One slight disappointment is that I found a tiny chip on one of the cutting edge, but thankfully it does not appear to affect the overall performance. Just not sure at what point that happened. Amazing performance considering the cost. Great bit to have with your dremel. I'm very happy with this bit.

Quality product
Needed to enlarge coil seat hole in the lower control arms of my resto. This did the trick like butter in less than a minute per hole with my Dremel. I had my doubts before purchasing, but proved unwarranted. Very pleased. Good durable product. As advertised.

Warning: Made in China
I bought a couple of these, together with some 9904 bits. While the 9904's are made in the US, the 9901 have the dreaded "Made in China" printed on them. After my experience with Chinese "titanium coated" drill bits, I expect that they are no better than the regular multipurpose bits, but at least twice as expensive (which seems to be confirmed by reviews on amazon.com). If you want Chinese cutting bits, you can get them much cheaper elsewhere, instead of paying a premium just for the Dremel logo.

Performance on metal
I used this cutter with my Dremel to remove excess metal on new door strikes mounted on metal door frames installed with new handles. Now the doors close and lock with perfection.
