Drill America DWDA/C Series High-Speed Steel drill bit is manufactured to National Aerospace Standard 907. 135 split point is self-centering and reduces thrust. Ideal for drilling in mild steels where extra length for reach is required. They have a black oxide surface treatment that is abrasion resistant, reduces chip welding and improves chip flow.

Manufactured to national aerospace standard 907. When run in a counterclockwise direction (right-hand cut) spiral fluted tools evacuate chips up and out of the cut to reduce clogging. Round shanks allow use with a wide variety of tool holding systems. Black oxide treatment adds lubricity and creates small pockets on the surface of the tool that act to hold coolant near the cutting edge. High-speed steel tools are good for most general purpose applications, offering a combination of hardness and toughness for wear resistance.

Game changer for handrail fittings!!

This product has earned a forever dedicated spot in my tool box! When installing handrails for stairs, some fittings require a screw pilot going through one fitting and into another for joining. I've used this on Ipe and White Oak handrails and I am very pleased with how long they last. Not only does this work exceptionally well, it's very affordable and I can have it delivered to my house! Living and working on an island with just a general hardware store close by, purchasing a replacement 6" bit required a 45 minute trip.

Squeals louder than your….

When I’m drilling, it squeals super loud once I’m 4” in.. it happens alot to me.. good cheap bit for drilling them deep holes. Although even being slightly very careful , it bent jsut a little.. I only have 6.25” to work with so it wasn’t too bad.. my neighbors probably hated me.

Good construction, Good Value

I purchased this extended drill bit to expand the ID of aluminum tubing by 1/64 of an inch. The subject piece was 21" in length. I did use cutting oil to reduce the friction on the total length of the bit. I made a couple of passes from each end and then blew out the aluminum debres with air.

Hard to find item

For some reason, this size is hard to find at the local Big box store. As many already know, when installing a deck screw things go a lot easier if one drills a pilot hole first, then installs the deck screw. These 1/8 inch drill bit are perfect for the pilot hole.

Buen filo, buen empaque, ligeramente comba

Excelente broca, buen material, buen filo. Se comió las cabezas de unos tornillos dañados casi sin esfuerzo (para eso la compré). Por ser más larga de lo normal es excelente para alcanzar tornillos o remaches profundos en aparatos como bocinas o no-breaks. El único detalle por el que no le puse 5 estrellas es porque venía ligeramente comba (arqueada, curva), por lo que "cabeceaba" ligeramente al girar. Pensé que era el taladro pero al comprobar en una superficie lisa fue evidente que era la broca. Si quisiera usarla en trabajo de más precisión no me arriesgaría, pero para lo que la compré (quebrarle la cabeza a tornillos barridos) resultó excelente.

Muy buena extensión

Me gustó la broca, muy buena extensión, lo malo es que teniendo tornillos de la misma distancia debí comprar una más larga, por lo que entra en el mandril.
