Crisp threads.
These are for making blind holes. Look that up, if the meaning escapes you; that's their purpose.

Not USA Made
I have no problem with import tools. The problem I have is that these were indicated as having a country of origin of USA. They're not. USA made taps tend to be stronger and sharper than cheap imports. That's the reason I chose these. I expected quality. I used these side by side with an old USA made GTD tap, and the old GTD did a far better job. I broke two of these without getting a complete hole tapped. Weak alloy and not properly sharp. I'm sure they'd work fine in plastic and maybe even aluminum, but if you plan to tap steel these are not for you.

Good tap set!
The cheap sets you get at mass retailers are okay, but there's no substitute for having a taper tap, a regular tap, and a bottoming tap all in the same size for some jobs, and the cheap sets you see usually only have regular taps. I still use my cheap taps, but when I'm, working on something special like a steam engine kit, I order up one of these sets in each size I'm going to need.

Worked well for a few holes in steel
Used these to thread holes in steel. They worked well for that. Used on only a couple of holes so I can’t comment on durability. They don’t appear to have dulled. The heads are very small and didn’t fit any tap wrench I have. Had to use a small adjustable wrench. Recommended. Would buy again.

Three die set is useful for setscrew installation..
These dies are useful for setscrew installation. They will thread the hole to the bottom, though the third die needs to have a little space below the hole to finish the job. That space should not be a problem if the piece at the bottom of the setscrew is moved out of the way while using the tap. They work well but it is best to use them all one at a time rather than trying to skip a step.
