This is the men's 12 inch Black Onyx Durango® Rebel Frontier™. This style is full-grain leather and inside has an air mesh lining to promote airflow. It also features the Durango® X-Pand System™ which is a hidden gore expansion for universal fit and easy on off and the Durango X-treme comfort removable polyurethane footbed with memory foam. The fiberglass shank provides lightweight stability and the little way shank stitch provide ultimate durability. The rolled shank area includes a stirrup grip and the outsole is slip, oil and abrasion resistant. There's a single row sole stitch around the R toe and the 1 ½" underslung heel is leather wrapped. Good Boot For the Price

I've worn Ariat boots for many years, but they discontinued my go-to model (Sedona), and nothing else seemed right for me. This boot by Durango is comparable. I like the distressed finish, and the riding heel. The modified square toe is not too boxy, but allows more wiggle room. I don't think the insole is quite as padded as the Ariat version; but it is plenty comfortable. Size was right on my first try. I don't have an exceptionally wide foot, but the Wide option was right for me - and my heel doesn't feel loose in it. I am pleased with my purchase of these boots, and they have quickly become the ones I grab every day.

Best Purchase I Ever Made

I was worried because a few Boot-head friends of mine said Durango's aren't good boots. Well they've now been proven wrong. These boots fit great and survived a tussle or two. They take a little getting used to if you're used to cowboy boots with a lower heel but it's not too awkward the first few times you wear them. They're a little tight at the tip when you first put them on but the leather does relax after a few wears so you hardly notice it. Living down south, I've had several people compliment and ask where I got these boots and I pointed them to Durango. At this price point you will not find anything better.

Not durable for work

Leather wrapped around heel, not stacked leather. Also tried to use them as ranch/work boots, thin leather already starting to develop a hole. I do like the way they look. Maybe good dress boots. Love other durangos from the rebel and maverick line.

great boot!

I have been wearing these to work for the last 6 months or so and they have held up great. they have scuffs and gouges in them but no serious damage. if I clean them up and polish them they almost look new again. I walk through dirt, rocks, and sometimes i'll get concrete dust or thinset on them and I do A LOT of walking around. these boots are light weight and breathable, and have a nice memory foam insole. watch out ariat!
