Be careful how you install
The product is , in my opinion, good. Can't emphasize that you install them correctly to insure they are not angular. I installed them in end grain in white oak Using 17/32 drilled hole. Be patient and suggest using scrap as a test first. Once in, seem to do the job.

Strength of metal
When screwing it in to hardwood, sometimes the start of the threading would strip and it would be a pain in the ass to start threading it in. I was drilling out 1/2 in holes instead of the 33/64 in holes that is recommended, which could have caused that problem

Works Exactly as Expected
I am using these for UHMW. These worked better than the knurled meant for plastic that you melt into the plastic.
