Just what I needed.

Thanks to all the reviews and a couple youtubes, I was able to get my old leaker off (had the broken-off screw) and install this one. Works great.

Don't cut off the set screw, unless you want a frustrating future

In many locales these are required by building standards, although there is reasonable debate as to whether the common household warrants their use. If you get an inspection to sell your house, it will be written up if it is not there, if your local specs require it. My house had one in the backyard, and none in the front yard. I am the only owner. Unless a vendor removed it (front yard), mine came with only one spigot covered. As a unit, they make a strange humming sound when the faucet is turned on. It isn't a problem, just a sound. The set screw is the weakest part of the design, as it is a metal that can react (galvanic corrosion) with the brass fitting. My old one did. I had a hard time getting it off, but because it was cut off per spec, not due to the galvanic corrosion. I recommend leaving the set screw in fully, so when it is time to service the spigot, you can remove it just by reversing it.

Noisy on a water timer

Works great on a hose, but with a water timer on it and going to soaker hoses, there is too much back pressure or something and makes a horrible humming sound. stay away if you are using for a water timer.

Loud humming noise

The media could not be loaded. Just received it and hooked it, and yet, the annoying humming noise is definitely unacceptable. The old one I had for 10 years never generate such humming noise! In fact, the water pressure shouldn't generate such a noise! Very disappointed with it.

Not well made

very disappointed in item, failed in a week, makes loud squeeking noise when water is on which tells me the spring inside not working correctly. replaced with watts from home depot no more issues.
