Works mid
It does filter light but not total blackout. They provided hooks to adhere to existing curtains/drapes. I got them long enough to cover the window by not the length of the ones I own

Good value
These were a bit annoying to install, and a couple pins fell out while I tried to hang them. Also, I still have light coming out the top due to the way the pins had to be inserted, and it’s hard to avoid the gap in between the two curtains. Maybe there’s a way to be more thorough and neat that would avoid my gaps. For the price, I can’t complain. They do a good job of blocking out the light, which is what I bought them for (see before and after photos in my review).

Small
These are great; however are not as wide as I thought they would be. I assumed they would be the width of a typical curtain but I have at least a foot difference between the curtain and the blackout. Guess I should have measured and checked sizing better.

Easier to put up than expected
Before and after. My curtains are wider than the liners and I was concerned about the difference. It worked fine. The curtain hooks that come with the liners are easy to attach to the existing curtains. I didn't take down the curtains, just got on a small step ladder. One set took less than 30 minutes, but I'm no spring chicken and have another challenge so this was much quicker than expected. If you're young and healthy it'll be a breeze

It works so well that our bedroom has dropped 7 degrees! Amazing!!
Moving into a new home we have had some problems with keeping our bedroom cooler than the rest of the house. We purchased a few fans but that still did not help with the bedroom. I really like the curtains we have and did not want to replace them with blackout curtains and was thrilled when I found this item on Amazon. I read all of the reviews and decided to order them and give it a try. If it didn’t work, well then I would try something else. But! It works! It works so well that our bedroom has dropped 7 degrees! It is about 95 to 98 degrees outside and our bedroom was reading at 82 degrees with the air cranked down to 72. Right now our bedroom is at a very comfortable 73 degrees and has stayed under 76 during the day when the sun is beating at the windows. It is really amazing that the room is nice and dark during the day whereas before there was way too much sunlight. I read a lot of the reviews and they really helped me make my purchase and I also bought an extra box of drapery hooks as many people wrote that they wished they had bought more. I did try to pin on the liner to my curtains and it did work out great but I just did not like them because they were not flush with the window and did allow some light to come in. I also read where some people sewed the liners onto their curtains and thought about doing that but then decided to just buy an extra rod and hang the liners behind my curtains and that did the trick. It looks nice, it blocks out the light and heat and they are not permanent to existing curtains. I love how much they work! I still can’t believe the difference it has made and how much it has helped. I am sure our electric bill will be much lower in the months to come. If anyone is considering buying these liners, I would strongly recommend them because hands down they are amazing! Some reviews commented on an odor emitting from these liners and others ones I looked at. I can say that there is no odor at all. They look alot like shower curtains to me and are made of a very sturdy material. They also include velcro so that you can close the curtains shut in the middle. They were worth every penny and I will be purchasing a few more for the rest of the house. I would recommend these to anyone that has a room that is hot due to the sunlight.

We love these and use them in every sun-facing window in our south Florida home.
These are a sort of vinyl coated curtain liners which can be attached to the backs of curtains or hung on a separate rod behind the curtains. We always hang them with the rod pocket style on their own rod, but they have sewn-on hoops for hanging in other ways. The white is a true white, and the fact that they are vinyl on the inside is not apparent unless you get right up to them and feel them. They are absolutely indispensable here in South Florida, and we have used them for years. They last forever if washed VERY gently in cold water and hung to dry. Wrinkles eventually fall out by themselves from the weight of the material alone. Both sides are white, which also helps a lot in keeping the rooms cool. I have seen white curtains with black backings facing the outside of the house and I can't fathom why anyone would want that, unless, of course, you live in a cold climate and want the black to attract heat. Not us. I really hope these don't ever stop being available. Be careful what size panels you get, as you may have to stich a few together for larger windows. They are no problem to stitch on my old Singer machine. I do not notice if they block noise much, because noise isn't a problem for us. Hung behind white sheers, they look great. Will add photo soon.

Very long, over lap is the way to hanging it!
I gave 4 stars is base on the "light block" level... really great to be a second fabric to block the day light. Because the size is not one piece for one big panel. So the advance point which can over lap the 2 panels and get best result. Another negative point which the quality of the top horizontal string for holing the hook is not strong tailored, so be careful the put down it. However, I think that hook number is not enough for me, so I went to Canadian Tire to get extra hook bag. I would recommend this company provide "BLACK" or many colors to match the current curtains.

Provides good blackout, easy to hang
Provides good blackout, easy to hang. But does NOT work great with grommet curtains. I will order a 2nd set to provide more complete blackout coverage

I am happy I bought them anyway
These panels are quite narrow in reality although the measurements appeared to fit my rather narrow window.. I hung them from the rail behind my curtains and they do blot out most of the street/daylight, so are doing what they are expected to do to a certain extent. I am happy I bought them anyway.

Works like a charm
Works like a charm, sunlight nearly 98% blocked. . And so easy to install. The only thing was size wad not as per my requirement so had to get an alteration done.

They were easy to attach to my existing curtains
Two white panels, just as described. They were easy to attach to my existing curtains. I live in the North, and during summer there is about 24 hours of daylight. The panels block out the majority of the light and make it significantly easier to sleep. They block out a fair about of heat, and also help insulate when it's really cold (it reaches -50 Celsius here in the winter, so anything to help keep heat in is great). A lot of black out curtains are really expensive. Being able to attach these to existing curtains saved me a lot of money :)
