BEWARE if you are matching up your part with Amazon images...Amazon has them reversed.
If you order this triac that is shown in the image, you will receive the triac that has the RED socket for the circuit board, and this triac WILL NOT HAVE the black and white wires for the larger connector next to the white connector on the circuit board. Amazon has the images for 1HESML and 2HESML reversed. I followed the images on the product page not knowing which is the first or second heater triac (no where in the parts manual does it discuss or label "first" and "second" heater triacs) to buy a replacement triac and essentially got screwed---I had to order the other one today hoping that the right one arrives. So, I've had to pay about $70 bucks total for this to MAYBE get the right part. My first plan was to buy two triacs and do the soldering myself---$4.85 on ebay right now, but I thought I would just get one ready to go with wires and insulation at the solder points. Bad idea. Both of these triacs are the same, and the only difference is the soldered wires. Look up your PN on the triacs and do the work

Wrong circuit. They send you the wrong circuit!
Idiots send you the wrong circuit, despite their extensive description. Read other reviews, others had the same exact issue! I've had very bad experience with the water heater, in general. Started leaking at the inlet solenoid, shorted out the Triac and burned out the heating elements.
