UPDATE: Disappointed

After talking to customer service, I was able to get a replacement sent free of charge and returned torn one. It's still very delicate. Not the best quality. I wish the other quilt we have made one in this color scheme bc I don't think this will last a year. We loved this at first. When received, I threw in dryer on low to fluff. No issue. I just washed it for the first time according to their instructions and the quilt ripped. Now we have a hole in the quilt which allows the stuffing to come out. Now what?!

Perfect Quilt For Us

I have been shopping for a specific green quilt for some time and I finally found it! First, this shade of green is not for everyone, but I have hand-built yellow pine bedroom furniture that has gone from a light federal blue to a yellowish green with age. While I love the aged colors, it has made it difficult to find the right green quilt but this one is perfect! Second, being married to a fisherman, the trout design is meaningful, and while subtle, prevents the quilt from being boring. The weight is perfect for us and I like the contrasting fabric trim and backing. As far as softness, I gave it a three because it's new and not really broken in, although it may soften with successive washings. Softness in this instances is not an important issue for me because I'm never really holding it against my bare skin; I've got super soft blankets for that. As far as price, I was very pleased to get it on sale and at less than half price. I'm very pleased with everything about this purchase.

Full of pilling after first wash

I put the quilt alone in the wash and low heat dryer before using it for the first time and it came out full of pilling. Very disappointed because it looked like a very good quality quilt. I was able to remove some of the pilling with a lint roller, but it took me 10 sheets (all I had) and a lot of time. I called the seller but they didn’t find my order number and advised to call amazon and gave me a phone number. After a lot of time on the phone because they couldn’t verify my account… even though I verified it many times on my end, I had to call again, going through the app, selecting that the item did not arrive to be able to talk to a representative (if I selected that the item was defective, the only options I had were to return the item and no option to talk to anyone). After finally talking to someone at Amazon, the offered me a 30% refund since I did not want to have to drive to return the item … only to get probably the same problem if they replaced it. Other than that, the size is great for a taller mattress, and the quilt is nice looking and feels soft.

Very nice quality lightweight quilt

I read in another review that this quilt is much darker than the picture and that is 100% true. It looks in the picture to be a medium sage green. In reality it is a much darker green on the color spectrum and does not really look sage. However the color still worked for me. I am using it for a summer lightweight quilt. In winter I have a much thicker comforter that is covered with a duvet. I priced this quilt from many different vendors and this was by far the best bargain. I paid $108 on Amazon and the next closest price was $160 on sale at Kohl's. Eddie Bauer is one of my favorite companies for both home goods and clothing. So I am happy with my purchase. There is a review that mentions some type of velcro connectors? This does not apply to this quilt, it sounds like a duvet cover, maybe they are reviewing a different product under this one by accident?

Everything was as described...except the color!

Not sure why they tell you its green...its anything but. Its more of a dark gray almost brown...nothing like what the pictures show, so it's rather misleading. And I find it interesting that they call it 100% cotton, but then go on to say its 80% cotton and 20% polyester. So the outside is cotton, but the fill is not. Again, a little misleading if you are looking for a 100% cotton quilt. So once it arrived and when we realized the color was nothing like the pictures and the fabric content was not 100% cotton, back it went. Barely made it out of the package before calling Amazon to have it returned. All that being said...its a decent product. Seems like it should last. But just wasn't what we wanted, or expected.

An excellent Quilt

I have finally found a teriffic quilt!. It is beautifully stitched ( not embossed) 100 percent cotton, color true to the photos on the internet. I am very happy with this quilt and the matching shams

It's not a sage green, it is deep muddy olive

Even in full light this comforter is in no way as green as shown in the photos. It is a very dark greyish brownish military "green." However: the guy who received it liked it. I would have preferred the colour shown in the photos.

Good quality for $

Very good quality. Put it on the bed immediately as it was soft and had no odours. This is masculine looking and my brother liked it very much.
