Pretty and Functional

We used this on our boat house and it works perfectly. It gives us the added ventilation we need in the storage area above the boat in a damp environment. We did paint it before installing to match the rest of the trim. Nice to know the man made materials will stand the test of time being in an area that’s hard to get to over the water.

A low budget window blind!

I had wondered if this product might work in a round window where the summer sun beats through. I was excited when I saw a review with a pic of the same application! We have white window blinds throughout the house, so I took a shot and we couldn't be happier. We'll pop it out in winter. If you want it as a vent, it is sturdy, screen seems strong and secure.

Good quality, may annoy you to paint

Exactly what I needed in regards to replacing my original and now rotted wood gable vent on the back of my home - however because this is premade and glued and stapled together it is extremely difficult to paint - I happen to own a lot of small brushes and odds and ends but even with what I had it was a PITA to paint and the finish is less than desirable Other than that it seems well made and solid - they use some sort of clear sealant and then on larger seams melt “staples” to hold the pvc together. I added extra sealant around the backside and over the staples for extra peace of mind.
