Great sink
Gorgeous sink- glad I got the drain to the side so when filling or washing pots you don't block drain! As one of the most important things in a kitchen this sink is perfect! My plumber was even raving about the beautiful finish! I considered getting a D shaped sink and glad I didn't as this one is bigger and has more flexibility. Perfect for bathing my mini dachsunds!????????. Also got the grid insert and both look wonderful.

Lovely sink
Perfect sink! Nice and deep, great center top drain... clean drain system, wonderful stainless. I'm very pleased with this sink. the only downside is that Elkay doesn't make a grid for this size... so I had to get a Kohler grid, and it's okay, but not a perfect fit. Elkay should offer all the bells and whistles for those of us who appreciate quality, but have downsized. Just a thought... Elkay?

Major Fail: check out the video
The media could not be loaded. I bought this sink (without the drain) because we wanted space for trash and recycling under the sink. That part works great. And the sink itself is attractive and quiet. All wins so far. The problem is Elkay either designed or manufactured this sink with a HUMP in the center, so water pools to the SIDE, rather than flowing down the drain. Needless to say, this is a bit of a problem. Actually, it’s a MAJOR FAIL, and it’s causing my blood pressure to spike. In fact, every single time I use the sink — which is pretty much every time I use the kitchen — it puts me in a very bad mood. I have to squeegee the water down the drain with a sponge to keep our sink from becoming a swampy breeding ground for bacteria. Every. Single. Time. I. Use. The. Sink. In case you haven’t figured it out already, I am not happy about this. A sink that doesn’t drain is the reason for one star. I’m amazed Elkay is still in business, if this is the quality they are accustomed to producing. I can only imagine that our sink must be a random blooper, and we lucked out. Like lottery winners in reverse. I’ve recorded a video so you can see how much water we’re talking about here. About ¾ cup hangs out on the right of the sink. Practically enough to start my own tadpole farm, were I so inclined. Do yourself a favor, and either avoid this sink like the plague, or check it carefully with a level before installing. (Though it’s quite possible the issue showed up *after* installation; I certainly didn’t think to check for it beforehand, and it seems to be getting worse! And yes, before you ask, our countertops are actually ever-so-slightly tilted *toward* the drain.)
