Perfect for Cast Iron Skillets

I've always struggled with using my cast iron skillets especially once they heat up because the handle is too hot to handle, but these have been game changers! I have started using a sous vide a lot for cooking meat, but like to sear it in my cast iron skillet and now I can actually touch the handle when cooking. I can't say enough good things about them!

Works pretty well, an overall good solution

I think what would make it great really relies on just a more dialed in fit, but I also understand that these are a little oversized due to the variety of cast iron that is out there. This was a good purchase, and they work. If you want to stop burning your hands on a budget, it's a good choice, and they are fire resistant as well as heat resistant with no fumes.

So far I love these pot holders

So far I love these pot holders. I have a lot of cast iron cookware and these are perfect for my pots and pans. From other reviews I have read some people felt like the "handle assister" (the trapezoid shaped holder) was too big. I have found that also, but I would not cite that as a negative because I can still use it and grip pans with no problems or burns. My husband loved these pot holders too, and he is not a cooking or kitchen gadget kind of guy. I would recommend these.

A must for a cast iron cook

I love my cast iron pan, I use it almost daily. I used to drape a kitchen towel over the handle to remind myself that the pan was hot, but this is an easier solution. Also, since it's silicone, it's super easy to rinse off. I can't lift the hot pan off the stove only with this handle cover, but it does save me burns if I brush up against the handle while cooking. Also, it provides a good grip for my oven mitts when I lift the pan.

These get super hot really fast - do not leave them on your pot/pan handles

Not even for a minute. They will get hot quickly, you have to remember to just use them when you are moving your pot/pan and not leave them on like the old school insulated thick cloth ones. Still handy in the kitchen.

Doesn't fit well. Loose

Using for a cast iron griddle. The grip on this one is not good. Unless you hold the griddle straight, it slips and fall off.

They Will Do

They aren't a great fit for my cast iron skillet but they'll do. Cleaning inside of them is a little tricky and the inside doesn't dry well, but that's the only drawback so we'll make it work.
