Works with LED, CFL, incandescent and halogen bulbs as well as other fixtures based on the primary device functionality. Contains two add-on switches. COMMERCIAL AND RESIDENTIAL APPLICATIONS – Supports 120VAC and 277VAC for universal use in a variety of systems. The switch is suitable for use in common home 120VAC or light-commercial 277VAC applications. Must be paired with a 277VAC smart device (model 43074) for light-commercial use. Easily replace any in-wall control in a multi-switch configuration to remotely turn on or off and set programs for a wide range of fixtures. ULTIMATE FLEXIBILITY – Compatible with any GE-branded smart control to operate lights or devices from multiple locations. The add-on switch sends commands to the connected in-wall Z-Wave or Zigbee switch, dimmer or fan control for full use of home automation features in 3-way configurations. For easy installation, the add-on switch only requires neutral, traveler and ground wires. It cannot be used as a standalone switch. ADVANCED DESIGN 2ND-GENERATION MODEL – Improved components reduced the housing depth by up to 20% compared to previous models and eliminated the need for breakoff tabs. Quick Fit enhancements are the ideal smart solution for older-style switch boxes, multi-gang configurations or any other application with limited space. Dual ground ports, which are offset to avoid switch box mounting screws, support daisy-chaining in multi-switch setups. WHY AN ADD-ON SWITCH – Add-on switches allow GE-branded in-wall smart controls to operate correctly in multi-switch configurations. By connecting directly to the smart device, the add-on mirrors its functions. This feature allows you to dim lights, adjust fan speeds, turn fixtures ON/OFF and more based on the capabilities of the primary smart device. While the add-on switch is not a stand-alone device, it provides continued use of your favorite smart-device functions from multiple locations.

No matching blue lights
All the regular switches have blue lights that you can set to indicate whether or not the lights are on. These do not. I'm guessing the reason is that this is only a "remote" for the one switch that controls the light set, but like, would it have been that hard to plug the wires through this and have it use a current sensor to determine whether or not the light was on? I know it's a little thing, but it feels weird having a small handful of lightswitches that don't match the rest of the house. Not a fan of that

Works with Honeywell
I bought a Honeywell UltraPro Z-Wave Plus Smart Light Switch and Saw that it supports 3-Way but if you look closer, it is only with an Add-On Switch. I use the toggle style in my farm house and the only Honeywell that I could find as an add-on switch was the paddle style which won’t work for my home style. I looked at the new GE-Add On switch and it looks just like the new Honeywell and it was the toggle style. I saw on another website that they were compatible but couldn’t tell for sure so I took a chance. It appears that GE and Honeywell are made by the same manufacturer but I can prove it but the packaging is very similar. I like the smaller size and it worked with my Honeywell so I can’t complain. This was a real purchase and am NOT receiving anything for this review other than my hope that it helps you!

to maintain your 3-way switch wiring functionality when paired with a smart switch
This does what its supposed to. There are some careful instructions to avoid mis-wiring but if you have 2 switches that control one light and you want to install a smart switch that can be controlled by alexa or google or your smartphone app, this is what you need. smart switch on either location and this goes on the other location. alternately you could remove the second switch and jumper it out of circuit and use a blank filler plate, but may as well just put one of these in. Its a momentary toggle that you push to toggle the status (on or off).

Great add on switch for 3way setup
I have this paired with another of the GE switch that acts as the main switch on our kitchen lights. The install was a bit more complicated than the GE Enbrighten Z-Wave Plus Smart Light Switch with QuickFit and SimpleWire, 3-Way switch because it requires you to connect wires that aren't connected to the switch itself. It also didn't provide the connector to do this. Once it was setup, it works exactly as expected. Switching the switch toggles the main switch to turn off or on. Connections to voice control are done through the main switch and not the addon switch.

Great product, easy to install and add to Smart Things.
We are slowing installing these throughout our new home. Every time we think we are finished, we think of another task or timer or scene that makes or lives easier. The written instructions are so in, including the 3 way add-on product which I thought would be difficult. The biggest challenge is the different ways existing wiring might be installed. Take your time, take pictures of wiring before pulling old switches and follow the instructions. One thing to keep in mind, use a tester to verify the box is of before touching wiring. We found several gang boxes that had multiple live circuits so it took two different breakers to kill the entire box.

Must have if you are replacing 3 way switches
This is a must have if you are installing GE smart switches and have any 3 or 4 way switches to install. Pay attention to the wiring diagram. This is not a standard switch. I believe it is a momentary contact switch that triggers when the switch is thrown sending a signal back to the parent switch so a standard switch will not replace it's functionality. But that is also why you need to pay attention to the wiring diagrams.

Enbrighten add on switch
The switches never used after I found out from a friend what they meant by add on. Do your research and if it meets your needs order them. These will sit in a drawer hopefully I find some use for them someday.
