Poor design

I owned an escali scale prior to this one and I liked the design of this one (at first) because it's sleek, wide and easier to hold than the previous one. However, the bin that it sits in is a very poor idea. Water easily collects in it and renders the scale useless once the water gets into the battery compartment. Also it's annoying to only have the ability to change the measurements within the first second of turning it on, making the process more tedious that it needs to be.
