Works well

Really cleans water!

Hate the price. Our well water is horrible, and full of iron, it stain everything, our sinks our clothes, our water smells horrible! Buttttt while using this filter system it all goes away! My only complaint is the price! We go through 2 sets a year and probably should be doing 3 sets, but we have horrible horrible horrible well water, so for most people 1 set every 9 to 12 months would work.

Good filters, they are a little on the expensive side but what isn't these days. I can usually get 18months out of them depending on my water usage.

Removes sulfur smell - KDF filter needs modification

This saved our new house. We had a strong sulfur smell in our well water, so I opted for the system with the KDF85 filter. Our water has absolutely no smell now. It tastes great too! For our system, I run through 50 micron and 25 micron Rusco spin down filters. Then through a 5 micron big blue sediment filter. It runs in to a dual tank water softener with a Fleck 9100 SXT valve. I put the Express Water whole house filter after the softener. The only complaint is the pressure drop across the KDF85 filter was massive! I had 10-30 psi drop depending on what's running. I tried to work with the supplier to determine if that's normal for the filter or if there could be a defect. With some back and forth emails, we weren't getting anywhere. I removed the top of the kdf filter. The outlet design sucks. There isn't much area for the water to flow out, and there's a felt screen glued to the top. It was mostly plugged up with carbon pieces. I removed white plastic and felt which are glued inside the lid. No more pressure issues! I'm only running the kdf and carbon filter so I left the middle housing empty. Hopefully any carbon chunks will drop out there. If not, they'll be picked up by the 5 micron carbon filter. Time will tell if it plugs the last carbon filter quickly or not. Nice, reasonably priced system, but sucks that the kdf cartridge is so poorly designed.

Systrm works great. I love it.

I use the Express Water Heavy Metals Whole House Filteration system in my house to filter all water right where it comes into the house. I live in Florida and have well water, so before installing my system the water would stain everything and had an awful metallic taste. This system does a fantastic job of clarifying the water and giving it a nice clean flavor. In the pictures I have attached you will see a before and after of the filter elements. I just now replaced the elements after 5 months of use, and wanted to write a positive review. This product enables me to have quality water. Whats more important than that? One small critique: The first stage filter housing is clear, which is nice because you can see the sediment build up in the first stage. The trouble is that The rusty sediment that I have in my water seems to stain the clear plastic and there is nothing I can do to remove the stain. Maybe the clear housing should be made of glass?

SO grateful

I moved to a rural area in the Southeast from Colorado (where we had the BEST well water), and the water smelled like a bad perm. We were told to empty the hot water heater, which we did, and it helped. But it wasn't as good as our Colorado water, despite having a well here in Alabama. I didn't even want to cook spaghetti in the water and certainly wouldn't make tea with it or drink it straight. I held my breath when I showered and sometimes could smell that perm smell after washing my hair (despite not having had a perm since the 1980s). As a mechanical moron, I had a plumber install this for me (though reviews say it's easy peasy to install). The difference is huge. Some things I buy on Amazon are nice to have, but this was nothing short of life-changing. My fear was it would help a LITTLE, but I finally feel safe using my water for absolutely everything, and it's 99.9% as good as my Colorado well water. (But I'm fussy.) Truly, I'm so grateful and relieved to have clean water at last.

Well worth it!

I read mixed reviews on the express water filters for the whole house. But for the price and what it said it could do I took the chance. We have HORRIBLE well water. Very high levels of iron and smells of sulfur. They said the filters should last six months and we got closer to four months out of them. But again our well water is really bad. It took care of the smell, the bad flavor, no more iron stains on our clothes and appliances. So I am very happy. I just put in the new filters and this time I got the heavy metals filters to see if they last a bit longer or improve the water flavor. I am a bit of a water flavor snob and still buy bottled water. The rest of my family is happy with the water from the tap. This has been one of the best purchases we have made for our home.

Great Filtration

These filters are shipped direct from Express Water and are packaged very well. Been operating this system for over two years and replace the filters about every 8 months. System operates flawlessly and is a benefit for the house utilizing a deep well system. These filters are not some flimsy kind of filter and are rather constructed solidly. Highly recommend.
