According to legend, house Stark held Winterfell for over 8, 000 years, before house Bolton usurped them and took up residence in the aftermath of 'the red wedding'. The Winterfell seen on-screen in HBO's game of Thrones is an Amalgam of several real-world locations and CGI artistry, seamlessly blended to create one of the series' Most enduring locations and what appears to be a very real castle. CAVEAT EMPTOR, Latin for "Let the Buyer Beware!"

Shoddy, lazy work, the cast of the city, believe it or NOT, actually LEANS TO THE RIGHT, For $300+ bucks, I should squint my eyes, cock my head to the side, or fold up a piece of paper to put under it, to try and make it look straight and normal???? Item is 12 inches long, 6 inches wide, and 4 inches tall, it's BIG, and they MISSED/hoped to get away with a GLARING problem in the production and construction phase of this thing. Love how the pretty and glossy brochure states in it (included in packaging) that the company's artisans, sculptors, and painters spent over a "1000 hours researching and producing this thing." So, somebody, who was in charge of "quality control," actually MISSED the Leaning Tower of Pisa" look to the thing. What a lazy, crappy, shameful attempt to try and foist upon the unsuspecting public, (That's YOU, the prospective consumer, who is hopefully reading this review) and cross their fingers and hope that , after spending $300 bucks on the thing, that "we wouldn't notice." Sigh. On a positive note, Their "Castle Black/Ice Wall sculpture came out fine, no problems. Which makes this attempt all the more puzzling and sad on their part - somebody should be FIRED for missing the most basic of detail in a miniature like this. (Haven't companies been making miniature football and baseball stadiums like this for over TWENTY YEARS now?)

Eventhough it is not very big for how much it costs it is very detailed and worth the money. Any game of thrones collector would love this.

You have the power to over look the tiny city as you are the one true king over the realm. Gaze into the tower, tower high over the red tree, rule the surfaces and stacks of white parchment with this sculpture. I offer you with strong conviction, that the presence of a master sculptor, NO! A true Artist has brought a static child of holystone into our world! If you are worried over the price, do not fret. Hodor. Hodor hodor, hodor. HODOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Leans to the side

Great detail, great size, but this castle is no longer cannon with the t.v. show and the whole thing leans to the right. I had to prop it up so it sits straight. Bugs the hell out of me.
