Cheap alternative for mason bee nesting tubed
At 8 mm these were the right size for mason bee nesting. Crammed them into short lengths of capped pvc pipe and either attached them to structures like walls or fence posts with plumbers tape or stuffed them into my wood pile..I also slit them to use as liners for heavy cardboard mason bee tubes. Cardboard tubes run at least 10 cents each. These were about 2 cents. The cardboard tubes were only 6". At 7 3/4", these can accommodate 3 more bee cells, with a high likelihood that all 3 would be females. Nearly all straws in my garden, 2-300 have filled in 3 weeks. I have deployed 1000 or so on a friends blueberry farm and have yet to check on them. The straws can get soggy in storage over winter ruining the cocoons. I need to figure out how to keep them dry.

They are sustainable for a long time when in use.
Will definitely be buying again. No odor or taste. My lips don't stick to the outside of the straw which is common with many paper straws due to a coating that is sprayed on them. They don't fall apart after sitting in a beverage for a while. They are very sturdy. If I use one for just a short time I've been able to rinse it off, let dry and use it again. Seriously, one of the best paper straws I've purchased in a very long time.

What happened?!
We have LOVED these in our home but the last two time I ordered, small black thin straws arrive rather than the large white ones. Have had to return twice. So disappointed that we can’t get the white straws anymore.
