Good inexpensive tongs that have been working well

I've been using these for a couple of months now, and have no complaints about them, They show no sign of rust. work quite well, and have no side play at the rivet joint. Plus I consider these a bargain at that.

Not for hot dogs

Photo shows a curve to the gripping surface. I use these to serve the hot dogs. Flat tongs don't work well with hot dogs.

These are not the tongs you know from years ago

The tongs are not curved enough to be useful, difficulty grabbing anything. The bolt is rusting after one washing. Not worth buying

Overall, these tongs are good. The padded handles are a nice touch; they give a little extra 'grip'. One thing to be aware of is that the rivet that holds the 2 halves of the tongs together does not appear to be stainless or chrome steel. Leave the tongs wet for a while and the rivet will start to show rust. This is not a deal breaker for me; I'm just careful to ensure the rivet is dried after cleaning the tongs.

Retro tongs

Have been on the lookout for this product af retailers without success. Most stores have only a tong with large silicone or various types of plastic teeth which to me are not as effective. Extremely happy to find these retro tongs on Amazon. Well made with strong bite and I quite like the covered handles to help cut heat transference. Old ones did their job perfectly for 20 years I will be happy if these last half that.
