Just what we were looking for

My son wanted a sliding mitt, but did not like the stiff ones sold by others. This mitt is flexible enough to grab on to the base if needed, while still providing protection. Would highly recommend to anyone considering a new sliding mitt.

Another great product from Franklin

This is a high quality sliding mitt. My 12yo son uses it for AAA baseball. Goes on and off quickly, and has good padding. Recommend!

Typical Franklin quality

If you're a baseball person, you know Franklin produces a quality product. My baesball playing teenager uses a lot of their stuff including batting tees, hitting gloves, nets, balls, etc. We've always had good experience with Franklin all the way back to his toddler days when he used his first Franklin pitching machine! We've always had good luck with Franklin and I don't expect this sliding glove to be any different. This isn't horribly bulky and doesn't look like an oven mitt in the players back pocket as much as others. It's softly padded and has velcro enclosures. It's an easy fit in the back pocket and comes on and off easily. It also just looks better than a lot of these mits -- if you have a teenager you'll understand why that's important!

Heavy duty yet lightweight

The biggest take away for me is how lightweight this is despite the heavy duty construction. I will say, it's the first sliding mitt that's had a fairly strong rubbery smell to it. That is from the rubber on the wrist wrap and wouldn't be necessary, but it's there. It won't be an issue as it's going right back into my son's baseball bag and only used outdoors. Just a note if you are a chemically sensitive person, that it does off-gas from the rubber. That aside, the rest of the mitt is lightweight yet reinforced. It works on both hands and love the wrap for the wrist to suit pretty much any age, young or old. The velcro is secure, but not so much so you can't get it free, a problem we had with a previous sliding mitt and because unusable for my teen. This however, works great. He's happy with it being lightweight for his pocket.

You can't go wrong with Franklin Sports products

I got this for my 10 year old grandson who plays baseball. This is to protect his hand from being stepped on while sliding in to base. Franklin Sports makes high quality and durable products. The seams are double sewn and look like they will last forever. Every part of the mit is high quality. The mit itself is thick and cushy, the Velcro closure, tags, and labels are all sewn in very well. I'm certain it will last him many seasons of play. The color is a vibrant red and matches what was in the ad. Overall, I am extremely pleased with the quality of this Sliding Glove and my grandson loves the fit. Worth the price for the quality and makes me feel better that he is protected on the field.

perfect gift baseball player at any level

My nephew loves to play baseball and plays in a couple of leagues. I have to say this protective sliding mitt has improved his game by giving him more confidence running the bases. He is now able to slide into base with ease and with great protection. The mitt fits comfortably on both hands and is reversible for extra protection. It's a great sliding glove for baserunning, with a wrist protector to keep his hands and wrist safe. It also adjustable so i'm confident he will be using it for a long time.
