Cool but off...

This is a fun activity in practice, but the surrounding theme and design choices are a little weird and/or may require some house-ruling. The football theme is loose, to say the least (ie, why would you not throw for a touchdown every single time, etc). If you're looking for a casual tossing game where you aim at targets and ignore the explicit labeling and scoring, it's not bad. If you're a true football fan, you'll scratch your head as you play.

Missing a football, but still a fun game

I got this football toss game for my 10-year-old son's birthday gift. It was easy to set up (if you read the directions correctly, just ask my husband) on the closet door, and he was playing it with his brothers in no time. Honestly, I was surprised at how good quality the materials were. Like every other toy made these days, I was expecting it to be cheap, but that was not the case. I feel this game will actually hold to the wear and tear of young boys on their toys. My only disappointment is that the game came with three footballs, not the four advertised. Not a deal breaker, but I would of like to receive what was advertised.

Really fun!

This is really easy to set up in any doorway. You get four mini footballs, and a pump. It comes with scoring clips that double as clips to keep the target rolled up and out of the way when not in use. I do feel like the bottom of the target should be weighted to keep it steady, this one improvement would have given this five stars.

Loved the game!

It was a hit with friends at the Super Bowl halftime. Easy to assemble right out of the box and made of quality materials. We attached the tension rod in the door frame as per the instructions and it remained 8n place. However, we found that the target was too light and that when the football was thrown (from 8ft) the target would fly up. Next time we will secure one or both of the lower corners (maybe an improvement the manufacturer should consider). Easy to store.

Cheap quality for something that is NFL officially licensed.

Let's start with the positives. It's fun for kids! The pole to attach to the door frame is very solid and holds nicely even with an overly enthused kid. The included football and pump are easy to use and doesn't allow for overinflation. The negatives. Everything else feels cheap. The net to catch the balls when throw are cheap and looks like it will be the first failure point. The little score keeping clips came falling apart. The sheet (?) is very cheap fabric and I would have expected something a little thicker and nicer from something that's officially licensed by the NFL.

Pleased

So, it's nice this comes with a little pump for the four mini footballs and a pump for the needle. I thought it would be fun to see how easy this was for an 8-year old to do since this was mostly for him. Immediately he bent the pump needle because it was not a very sturdy one and you really have to jam the needle into the balls to pump them up with air. So, we bought another needle at the hardware store and got the footballs inflated. The apparatus inside the sheet that is what allows the game to hang in a doorway, to me was similar to what one might find in a shower curtain rod. Our doors are fairly standard. We had a hard time getting it to stay at the width required so when you threw the ball the thing wouldn't keep falling. We eventually had to place some folded paper towels between the door frame and the rod to get it to stay in place the majority of the time. Having gone through all of that...for a kid who loves to throw the football, we have already had hours of fun coming up with games like PIG and such in order to make throwing the ball a bit more interesting.

So fun!

The media could not be loaded. So easy to set up and start playing. Suggests a game on the instructions or make up your own. Comes with a nice very compact pump that Ill definitely be using for other things. I'm only deducting a star because it came with a tear in the top right corner.

Just in Time for Super Bowl!!!

OMG! This Franklin NFL Mini Football Toss Target Game is just totally cool, and tons of fun!!! We just had to try it out for ourselves, and it does not disappoint! We're pumped!!! I ordered this for my (3) grand sons to play with indoors, (giving them a break from video games) especially when it's cold out or rainy, and it's the "bomb!" It was super easy to install in the door jam, comes with 4 balls, so everyone can get in on the action, including: score clips, a mini air pump, tension bar, "colorful" cloth football target with three holes, for: Field Goal, Touch Down, and forgot the last one! Keeping them busy and "entertained" for hours. But, it's so much fun.... especially when you're running on "adrenaline," getting all excited, watching your favorite teams compete, or when watching the Super Bowl and the whole living room is "ablaze" with screaming fans, it gives you a chance to "prounce" around and practice your moves, or play against your family, friends, neighbors or other guests, during the game or during commercials or "half time," or anytime.... just fantastic! Very well made, "stimulating" recreation, quality materials and construction. 5Stars!*****
