This bit is great for edge gluing

This bit is great for edge gluing. I also use biscuits for added strength. Cut the biscuit slot after using this bit. I found that you need a biscuit that is one size smaller than the slot you cut. For instance, cut a #20 slot and use a #10 biscuit. You have to raise or lower the bit 3/32" for the mating surface. This needs to be VERY accurate or your boards will not mate correctly. I have a router lift that accomplishes this with its adjustment dial. This creates a very strong joint.
