Update: While I DID NOT wash any parts of it in the dishwasher, the attachments have started getting these black marks on them almost like the metal paint has tarnished or rubbed off.. I no longer feel safe using this for food due to not knowing entirely what the attachments are made of. It feels very light like aluminum, but after not owning this for very long and hand-washing with dish soap and towel-drying it after each use I have to update my rating because it seems very cheaply made and possibly not food safe. So far I have made lots of meals with this. I was worried that it wouldn't stand up to my constant cooking, but it's a great machine. The attachments are a bit on the cheap side, so don't expect heavy duty. Definitely heed the warning not to wash any part of this in the dishwasher as I could see how they would easily warp. I've been hand-washing parts of it after use, so it's not a problem for me. The unit is a bit louder than I expected it to be and sounds like it's going a lot faster than it really is. Despite this, I'm happy to have it because it saves me from having to stir everything with a manual whisk. The color is very vibrant and the machine itself has a sleek retro design that looks nice on the counter. It does take up a fair amount of space and needs a bit of height to raise the top. This isn't an issue for me, but it could be for anyone with low cabinets or anything attached to the underside of their cabinets (lights, paper towel holders, etc).
