It survived the first snowfall, but I don't know if it will survive the winter
I bought this at the end of the summer and waited until first snowfall to put it together. I rather regret waiting until I needed it to put it together. While the overall design is sound, the implementation leave something to be desired. The directions tell you that you need a Philips head screwdriver and a wrench. I definitely needed the wrench, but none of the bolts had ends that let you use a screwdriver. As you can see in the pictures, they are all polished and flat. No type of screwdriver could be used. So, I put the shovel together with the wrench turning the bolts while holding the end of the screw with my thumb. I am not confident that any of it is tight. All of the screws were like this. I'm just waiting for the bolts and nuts to start loosening up and falling away. I might stop and get some loctite next time I am near a hardware store. The other interesting thing is that the instructions say there is a push-on cap to hold the wheels on. What was in the bag was actually a combination of a big washer and a linchpin. The ends of the pipes were drilled with pinholes. Unfortunately, the pins were a little small. I managed to fit the pins with a wrench and then folded them over, hoping that that will keep it on. I did test it out on about 2 to 3 inches of fluffy snow. It cleared my driveway, only wobbling a bit. So luck was with me today! I will update this when/ if it actually does fall apart. Keeping my fingers crossed that I at least make it through one winter.
