Finally a dive watch I can wear daily
What I love: It fits my wrist; it's pretty accurate with the HRM; a million different workouts; it's a dive computer with lots of dive features like a digital compass so I don't have to look down at my gauge; What is just ok: It's big and fairly thick; the battery lasts for 6-7 days; I got the sky blue color option cause I'm cheap and I wish I'd gotten the black one. What I wish it did: Air integration; a little more comfort (I tend to wear my watches/activity monitors 24/7 and this one feels a lot less comfy than a fitbit or Amazfit Band); better battery life Things I don't like: not much other than the buttons have already started to feel a little sticky like they are going to eventually get pressed in and not pop back out and it's only been a month since I got it (lots of pool swims - chlorine and salt - 2 dives in the DR - it was always flushed with a shower after each of the above swims) - hope it holds up.

Best Dive Watch Ever
I have had the Descent Mk2i for a year and love it. Battery life is only 8 days after a year but having a watch for everyday use that dives, golfs, runs, bikes, walks, does weights and records a load of health stat is unbelievable. Totally recommend thi and have just brought this S for the wifey.

LOVE MY GARMIN
I have owned 2 garmins Mk 1 and Mk 2 I have really enjoyed both of them, and only got rid of the MK 1 to upgrade to the MK2 which offered a smaller, more feminine design- unfortunately this came with the price of a little decreased battery life, but still a great watch- I probably wouldn’t have upgraded, but my Apple Watch was broken and I was wearing my MK 1 everyday as a smart watch and as a petit woman it looked a little funny. I digress The MK 2 offers air integration, if you’re into that kinda thing- I’m an old school SPG girl myself. Yes the gps doesn’t work underwater ie you can’t swim randomly in one direction and Siri won’t turn on directions and tell you how to get back ????but, it drops a GPS marker with EXACT coordinates of your entry and exit points (coordinates go all the way to like the 8th decimal place). And there are several screens once the computer enters “dive mode” one of which is a very detailed compus. Prior to my first MK1 I had a very basic scuba pro dive computer. Every time I wanted to change my nitrox percentage, or alter any dive perameters, it was hard to use and not intuitive. The garmin is easy to use and very intuitive. I can also screenshot some photos of the app and show you how the GPS coordinates pull up- but you can also access them on the computer itself. It’s got lots of other great features- HR, RR, SPO2 analysis and calculates an exact % of N2 and CNS 02 toxicity in blood. It can also be used with other sports including kayaking, paddle boarding, running, or anything you wanna use it for. You can also pay extra to get color weather radar and lots of other apps. Garmin also offers the opportunity to set up emergency contacts who can access your latest gps info in case of emergency. (Yeah if you didn’t make it back to the surface you wouldn’t have a second mark) but if you are lost and your computer is still working on the surface you can manually drop GPS pins at any time and I’m assuming your emergency contact would be able to see them. It has lots of great features. Just takes playing around with it and getting to know your computer. I’ve done about 100 dives with Garmin now and I’m never going back! I need to get garmin to sponser me lol. I’m a huge believer in their product.

New to scuba
A little complicated to set up but once configured it’s a perfect dive partner.

Excellent multi-use dive computer
So far love it. I wear glasses and have lenses in my dive goggles. So some of the reading is hard to do. I accidentally passed NDL, the screens switched but it became less intuitive. NOT the time I want less intuition. So at 110ft, 1 NDL, heading up and Deco popped. Your normal screens disappear and new ones take their place. Which would be fine but you don't get to practice with them in advance, so you are learning what the watch is doing in a Deco mode. Sort of insane. Anyway, I figured it out so I suspect many might. Just pay careful attention and take a minute to read the screens (from 3 to 2 as I recall) and follow the instructions on stops and times. Other than "surprise, all your screens are changing (and yes I read ahead of time on this just in case)" it's a great watch. The finish scuffs a bit easily, but it is a dive watch mostly (for me) and nothing remains as if new. Ah, one more minor issue. I have the titanium band. It fits my wrist. But the expansion for diving makes it VERY tight on a 7mm wetsuit and impossible if you wear gloves. The band expander, to avoid manual adjustments for diving and non-diving, needs 3mm more or less greater opening.

Garmin did it!
Never expected a company like Garmin to do what I always thought Casio was going to do first. Battery life is extraordinary considering it is communicating with the transmitter all the time. Diving 5 days a week cleaning boats only leaves me wanting for a deeper setting to start dives, it is 4 feet and can not be changed. Many times it ends my dives because of it, but it is the nature of my work, when cleaning large boats it works as expected. Oh, and I go though my week with one precautionary charge in between, it can possibly last the five days with 6 hours of diving a day. The tracking of other aspects of your life such as breathing rate is impressive, and even if it were to not be perfectly accurate, it is still a great support tool for health and sports. Speaking of which, it is ready for ALL of them, from playing golf to jumping out of an airplane, to holding your breath to freedive. And it can be set in indoor modes for gym use too. Pretty sure there will be detractors, there always are, but this things really does it all with a high level of care, and customization. The edge (bezel) of the watch is soft enough to scratch with relative ease, the glass however is all but bullet proof. It would be desirable to have more and better options to protect this high end product from cosmetic blemishes for everyday use, but it's not a perfect world, is it?
