GREAT OUTLET EXTENDER . . . BUT DON'T OVERLOAD IT!

I need some more plug space especially with the plug-hogs of various plug-in devices. This took care of putting everything together without the adapters hogging all the plug space. This is a very well built unit and screws right into the center screw of the socket. The plugs are firm and solid so nothing will slip out. Great for those goofy adaptors. This also eliminated the need for a power bar extension that adds excessive clutter. Nice and clean install with the plugs all in their places A WORD OF CAUTION: Just don't overload this unit and it's not meant to take a real heavy load. Keeping it light will prevent the circuit breaker from tripping. Enjoy!

Affordable and great use

I bought these 3 times so far. I have 6 all around the house which is very helpful when you need more outlets. These are by GE so its very trustworthy. No setbacks so far.

Excellent outlet extender

Simple and easy to install, adding 4 additional outlets to existing wall plate for a total of 6 outlets. Price is right, placement of the outlets are great and wide enough to plug in those bulky wall chargers. Would be nice to have surge protection and night light but price would certainly go up. All in all, a great buy and would definitely purchase again if needed.

Easy expansion

I have a couple of these GE outlet expanders with the circuit breaker from the hardware store that have lasted a long time without any issues. I did not hesitate to purchase more of the same from Amazon. They are easy to install--plug and play. If there are local issues with power outages or spikes the circuit breaker is responsive and easy to reset. I have multiple lighting options and a singular powered subwoofer on the outlets (not exceeding stated requirements) with no issues. Great way to safely expand two outlets to six.

Good outlet multiplier, but just 1 of 2 input. If you hahe an outlet that has 1 switched and 1 not it's not for you

great for rooms with limited outlets

We live in an older home with limited outlets. This was a great solution for increasing outlet availability.

More versatile and secure than similar outlets. Easy plug and screw and play installation.

The problem I was dealing with is that all my rechargeable power tools, sprinkler timers, etc. were causing me to need many more outlets in my garage than were available when the house was built 30 years ago. There are four important reasons why I chose these particular outlets over the many other designs available. Firstly, there are not any particular electrician skills needed and non need to turn off the electricity unless you just want to be super cautious. Second, installation takes only a few minutes. Just remove the cover plate on the original outlet and plug this in. Then tighten the screw in the center (the third reason I chose this design) to secure this in place. Speaking from experience, outlets without this screw to secure them can easily work their way loose after a while. The fourth great thing about this design is the way that the outlets are set in three planes so that it is easy to accommodate multiple voltage converters for chargers or sprinkler timers or other devices (see picture).

Great for the kitchen

This cheaply and effectively helped me get all my countertop appliances and lighting connected in the kitchen. It does come out of the socket a little bit easily, so now I have to hold it instead of just yanking on the cord, but I can't see how this would be avoided in any alternative product (it does have the bolt hole to bolt into the wall but there's no hole in that location on my outlets).

Nice, but do not fit in GFCI sockets, so useless in bathroom...

My intention was to use these in the bathroom so that the electric toothbrush, hairdryer, shaver and curling iron could all be plugged in, without constantly unplugging something else...for this purpose, it failed, something about the GFCI sockets seem to preclude these from properly fitting, likely for a safety reason. That said, as it is not this item that failed, and just my preferred application, I can't really fault the product, and have found it very useful in the bedroom and the office. The flat profile is ideal, the adapter fits snugly in normal sockets, and easily allows one to keep multiple items plugged in, negating the need to constantly bend down, unplug something, just to plug another item in. I would not personally recommend this for six items that would be in constant or continuous use without first making sure that the voltage needed was available as one could potentially overload a circuit, but for that plug that is located in an area of multiple but infrequent use they are marvelous.
